To this point all we know about Bute is that he looks good against B-grade competition and that he is a big draw in Montreal. In a division that has a problem drawing the fans, I think both Dawson and Ward along with everyone else should be angling to fight Bute. Ward only drew about 5000 for the biggest fight at 168 in years and years. Bute can do 3 times that in Montreal. As to why Dawson would single him out for special attention is a mystery and it just goes to show that his priorities are all wrong.
... Bute vs Froch 2 is only happening if Bute loose. In wich case a fight between Bute and Ward wont happen anyway. That is logic, not what you quoted.
Yeah, this was an odd call-out. Not THAT odd, the more you think about it. Ward >>> the light heavyweights out there.
I like Andre Ward, defintley deserves the accolades he's been getting over the past few years but Dawson beats, him quite easily tbf.
Latter if it gets made, I think. :yep Ward is a fine boxer, I think highly of him, but Dawson's size and stance could prove a mouthful more than he can swallow. I can see those left hands really affecting him. (seeing as they pushed Hopkins - who's basically a bigger older Ward - clear across the ring)
I think hbo would put dawson vs ward and why not? Hopkins aint a draw but he vs dawson in the rematch happen on hbo. Ward is clearly a better fighter then any fighters at light heavyweight while dawson is clearly a better fighter vs any fighters at super middleweight. Dawson vs Ward is an even fight. Yeah it wont be entertaining cause of their styles but it will be a hard fought battle between 2 great young talent skill fighters.
I would laugh my ass off if Pascal handed Dawson his ass again . . . . which is quite a high possibility
Eh, Jean's been inactive...and his last two performances (dating back two years) were the duds against Hopkins...a loss and a draw to the guy a fresher Dawson arguably just won 14 straight rounds against..
