TheHitman i know where you're coming from with this, bit with all due respect, i think you're going down the wrong road entirely. You're entitled to your opinion, as is everyone. In saying that though, do you truly believe what you're saying is truthful ? No dissrespect, but in saying what you said about Chad Dawson, you come across as severly lacking in basic boxing knowledge. As i stated previously, you are entitled to your opinion, but to discredit Chad Dawson and attack him the way you have is ludicrous. You may not like him, or respect him, for whatever reasons they may be ? What you must be able to see is what he brings to the table, and he brings plenty, he's a rising star in boxing if you like it or not. Two time world champion, he holds notable wins over standout champions, past and present, men like Johnson, Adamek, Tarver and higly respectable names like Eric Harding on his resume hardly constitues or ammonts to Dawson being "a noboddy" does it ? He's still only 26, take that into account, he has plenty of time to add to his achievements.

If you want, please answer the following points: 1. Didn't he sign the contract to face Diaconu? Now, if he "feared" him and wanted no part of him, he surely wouldn't have signed it, eh? How do you explain that? 2. If you were in his shoes, wouldn't you rather get a bigger pay day, fight a bigger name and stay to fight in your own country? You would have chosen to fight some other fighter who's not well known in the public, hasn't really done anything spectacular in his career, fight for less money, and go to Romania to fight him? Which option would you choose? 3. You say "he's nothing". What more should Dawson have done for you in order to be "something"? Fight Diaconu??? PS: Another one that came to mind just now. Why do you call Dawson glass jawed? Cause he has been knocked down? So that would make Calzaghe glass jawed too, cause Hopkins knocked him down?
No, but I was in AC this weekend! I was kinda going for Pavlik but watching Hopkins put on a masterpiece was well worth my $400 tickets for the wife and I. Funny thing is, she was the one that said Pavlik's team was underestimating B-Hop. She wasn't surprised at all with the outcome.

Ask Willie Lee, all 158 pounds of him when he dropped Chad. Dawson has himself said there are questions about his chin. His words. Dawson did sign once to fight Diaconu. He also repeatedly ducked him on other occasions, and dropped his WBC title to avoid fighting him. He also went to the WBC Prez' house to petition him, apparently, so that he would not have to fight Diaconu. Dawson fears Diaconu. There's no way around it. Find the old ESB article about this subject, it's the best thing I've read yet on the matter.
Game Over. A fighter does not fear a man and then sign to fight him. Fighting Diaconu is a WASTE OF TIME. NOBODY CARES ABOUT DIACONU! Chad went for more money and the better/more well known fighter. Go jerk off to a picture of Diaconu.

If Dawson's team ponied up, the fight could have been anywhere they wanted. If I were Dawson, personally, I would not repeatedly run from a challenge because I would be afraid such shameless ducking would tarnish my marketability. But that's just me. 3. Dawson is nothing relative to what he's being presented as being and as someone worthy to fight Calzaghe. In that sense, he is nothing. Just another young guy trying to prove himself.
