Lol at this fight. Team Dawson is a disgrace with all the bull**** they are saying. I'm aware of the rematch clause, but I also know that there's no need to be an immidiate rematch and no need to be a rematch at all if you pay Tarver the right amount of money to step aside...

Shaw said there are no other fights on the horizon, so they took the rematch.

Yeah... keep ignoring Glen Johnson, the fighter many felt beat Dawson and made him look a Bad Chad. Glen Johnson is willing and ready to take the rematch he deserves, and it was a GREAT FIGHT and superb performance for the old man. As far as I know (maybe it's not in effect anymore) the IBF doesn't allow an immidiate rematch, so Dawson is going to give up another title, just like when Diaconu chased him down the prestigious WBC throne? Funny thing is Shaw said there was no interest in the Diaconu fight. So... which TV is shouting after the Dawson-Tarver rematch? It's just as bad as Malignaggi-N'Dou II. Maybe Chad should grow some hair if he's not willing to growing any balls.

This is ridiculous for him to fight this rematch now. Kessler would fight him right now, even if it has to be at 175.

If Dawson fights Tarver again but doesn't give Johnson one it's pathetic as well.

Its no secret that Glen Johnson, who is far more worthy of a rematch, and Adrian Diaconu have been pursuing fights with Chad, and he's going to turn around and do this? How can anyone respect this move?

I mean, I'm no apologist, but if he is contractually obligated, then he is contractually obligated. Can't really put the blame on Dawson for this. Hell, at least he is getting it out of the way relatively soon and not waiting until summer.

He was obligated to fight Diaconu and didn't think no big thing of dropping the WBC belt in order to fight Tarver. Please, nobody wants to see this bs rematch, not even Tarver probably. This was more than likely just a ploy to get paid step aside money. And to give Tarver a rematch and continue to avoid Glen Johnson? What a disgrace.:-(

    1. Nobody cares about Diaconu.

    2. Johnson deserves a rematch and Tarver does not.

    3. I am actually more nervous about Chad fighting Antonio than him rematching Johnson based on the power of Tarver when he lands cleanly.
