Their commitment to boxing is nil, someone forgot to cancel Bob Arum's contract and somehow it's still the better product.
They do. I mean corn hole is fun on a Saturday afternoon, kicking it with friends and family, drinking beer and what not, but watching it on TV? With all the great old fights, I can't see how ESPN justifies putting corn hole on instead of the fights.
Other side of that is we have 300 odd TV stations as freebie in with our phone/internet package (KT Telecom) and one station has all the key AFL matches and all finals. For this at least capitalism works pretty well because IT media is dominated by huge conglomerates in Korea but they are forced by consumer expectations to compete against each other.
In South Africa we had a big increase last year Aug..... Cancelled then.... Unfortunately not that many other boxing options here.... But it is ridiculous that they expect more than Netflix , Disney , Amazon..... But has so little content.... This will probably be the final nail in the coffin.... But will probably take a while to die..... Len Blavatnik should find better ways to invest his money
You can get the best women's boxing in the world for free anyways. It's Saturday nights on TyC Sports from Argentina, which you get if you subscribe to DirecTV en Espanol, which you can do and still get 300 English channels! Argentine and Uruguayan women boxers are the women's boxing equivalent of Mexicans in men's boxing: they fight their hearts out and have tons of world champions.
It used to be $2.99 per month in Australia. Even if nothing was on for a month, who cares it's 3 bucks. I cancelled when the price was increased to $13.99 per month.
Back in the day at the basketball court I met tons of people who always praised DAZN partly because most of those guys are Mexicans, I guess. They all wanted to see Canelo. And they are part of the reason I'm a former subscriber.
It was also around that price at start-up here in the UK. It was obviously a Sprat to catch a Mackerel situation. I expected some price increase, but not as high as it's become. DAZN can go and whistle.
