Might be overthinking things a bit, but this isn’t Big Turks’ much-vaunted ‘Ring Pass’ that this was originally meant to be before the flashy lights of TKO and Netflix came calling.

Wonder if this is a bit of a last-ditch attempt from DAZN to demonstrate they can get subs/PPV revenue as well as the eyeballs on these upcoming three Saudi-backed shows before the end of the year and convince Big Turks to keep investing in fights on the platform and not take them all to Netflix, or Paramount+ or whoever.

    Maybe I was wrong.

If DAZN Ultimate costs £276 a year then £249 is probably correct.

I wonder if they include the BKFC and X Series PPV Events in that calculation ?

A bit annoying because BKFC and X Series have nothing to do with boxing.

I wonder if they'd be cheeky with this yearly ultimate offer and include the YouTubers and Misfits cards that they decide to put on PPV rather then just on their regular, basic schedule

So you’d think they probably have to include them. They are PPVs, and I suppose if you’re in to Misfits or bare knuckle, you’d be within your rights to kick off if they aren’t.

Whether or not they count towards your ‘minimum 12 PPVs’ is something else though. Bit of a pisstek if they do, but then they’ve got to get that many somehow!

Many a real UK boxing fan along with casuals have been badly burned by DAZN in the past and will never be back.

There is no growth in the UK so they have to up the subscription price to compensate.

The one thing I learned when I forked out for an annual sub 2 years ago was never ever trust DAZN or fall for their marketing of empty promises.

Check the transaction with your payment provider, mate. They should automatically deduct any outstanding months you’ve already paid up front.

I got the credit back for mine, if you paid the annual sub in one instalment they owe you the difference.

Yeah, fair point, and I’m fully expecting the Saudi cards to end up as “Super PPVs” or some add-on down the line. Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest — nothing’s ever really all-in with DAZN.

And honestly, I fully expect them to go the way of Setanta at some point; the model just can’t work. They’re banking on people being enticed by the Nepo Babies rematch next week to keep the numbers ticking over.

Was a big fan when it first arrived. Then prices changed and it all got way too confusing for me. Then the nightmare I had when trying to cancel the subscription. It's a shame because I love boxing and will support anything I can 100% but that channel is a shambles. They don't even pretend to care about the fans, it's all about the money. I will never subscribe again

Edit: Scrolling back a couple of pages and people have actually paid upfront for the 12 ppv bull**** lol What's that saying about a fool and his money?

I’m not interested in DAZN’s criterion of what is a ppv show, so going blindly for 12 in the future is senseless.
Next week’s open air squabble with those children, is another they are hawking as one.
Then there’s Turki’s, initially, non ppv, now money grab, in Saudi, soaking us!
    Winner of 2/3.
Fairly sure, I’ll pass on that one as well, though Haney/Norman is intriguing.

I'm certain David Allen would have been on the "PPV star" roster if he'd got past Makhmudov.

Would not be surprised if non title bang average fights such as Dave Allen v Bosh 2, Joshua v Whyte 2 and Chisora v Joyce 2 were on DAZN Box Office in the next year.

Any fight above average interest is the threshold.

Turki just tweeted that the Yarde fight is due to start 1am UK time next week. Horrible.

To begin with, Turk said it was part of the subscription, then it wasn’t. Now it’s the late, late show. Easy decision, yet another ppv, to decline, like tomorrow night’s one.
