I have DAZN and the quality is awful. Constantly buffering, spinning or knocking you out of the app

 

It's the home of poor optimisation and buffering!!

 

I like domestic boxing more than anything else, so when it was just Matchroom the value for money was poor. It's only when Queensbury jumped ship I started to watch it again.
DAZN always used to annoy me because of the way they'd try and lock you in to subscribing and make it as difficult as possible to leave. They have changed this now, so it is easier to dip in and out. They have improved, but I'm keeping an eye out as I still think they are a bit sneaky.

 

They'd all have more chance against Zuffa if Hearn didn't try to snake Sky.

It just gave his company more money and freedom

Lmao how can you say Hearn had no vision, when he launched no one knew what a Dazn was, yes he got paid, but he also was making loads from SKY PPV etc as it was in the glory days still, had it not worked, then Matchroom boxing would have been far down the pecking order and left behind, and it did take a few years for it to catch on and big fighters and other promoters to join, so it was a risk as no one knew what it was and back then no other apps did boxing, just major TV channels like SKY, BT, Showtime, ESPN etc.

I believe he definitely thought streaming was the future but what really gave him the confidence to sign was everything that came with the deal

I think Hearn signed with DAZN because he prioritised the US market and that supposed $1 billion war chest he had to take over, this was before the Saudis got involved and completely changed the landscape.

In my opinion Warren followed suit because at the time DAZN was the Saudis favoured platform and this was before he fell out with them, when you look across the pond at Top Rank I honestly don’t think Arum ever wanted to sign with DAZN, they went the best part of a year with no tv deal when DAZN’s offer was on the table all along, he only signed up because he literally had no other option.
