He is down at the local Army Shop buying Tin Helmets for Matchroom staff followed by a meeting with Dominic Cummings for advice on how to salvage some credibility from the sinking ship HMS Matchroom

Just DAZN UK with the price increase and in addition, DAZN UK is one of a small number of DAZN subscribers in the world who have to pay Box Office for the Joshua fight.

I think this one is just us but its more established in other places so price hikes are common when they add more sports.

Italys went up from a tenner to 30 quid the other a month as they got the football rights

If DAZN obtained EPL Rights, Eh Day Earn would be charging north of £30 per month on top of the £7.99

There are times in my life where I'll watch as much boxing as possible, international and domestic, but I don't have time for it these days. I'm a big fan of a good, well matched domestic dust up fought in the UK. I'm not convinced DAZN will be the place for this sort of thing, especially not regularly anyway. The US fights I can't really stay up for these days. I'll give it a couple of months, but may cancel if there's not much else on the horizon. As others have said, it's quite a jump in price.

I bet Eddie Hearn's butler has to bring his own toilet roll to work.

DAZN's FAQ section is very interesting.
    • Can I watch Anthony Joshua fights on DAZN?
Anthony Joshua fights are unavailable on DAZN in the UK & Ireland.
    • Can I watch Dillian Whyte fights on DAZN?
      Stay tuned for future announcements.
The above suggests Whyte has signed with DAZN and Joshua won't.

Not surprised, AJ is a PPV cash cow, why would he restrict his earnings to a flat fee.

The problem is that Matchroom's stable doesn't have enough stars to warrant a £7.99 monthly fee.

£3.99 would be more reasonable considering what DAZN offers for UK subscribers.

I think DAZN haven't lived upto the hype and neither has Hearn's cards because i think they've become worse since he's left sky. If DAZN come crashing down he could always go grovelling back to sky i suppose for a cut price.

I think this guy is a bit slow. £7.99 is a good price if it actually had enough content to warrant it but it doesn't and it doesn't have matchroom's big names fighting on it.

Game Changed....... Subscription Cancelled £7.99 for the pony Hearn is serving up is a joke, DAZN will fall flat on its arse.
I cannot wait till Hearn goes cap in hand back to Sky "Please Bean got anymore".
No way AJ signs with DAZN for flat fees, 258 and AJ promotions on SKY PPV incoming.
Hearn probably thought people were gullible enough to pay £7.99 a month for utter the shite he serves up but i would hazard a guess not even the casuals that think Conner Benn can win a World Title will pay it.

If it’s Dillan Whyte fights someone challenging (Wilder for example) then I might partake in a month of DAZN.

An issue for getting Joshua signed up for DAZN is any potential Fury fight- sign up Joshua long term and you effectively set that PPV price at £8 (or relinquish the rights to BT/Sky for that one fight- not ideal), which isn’t going to happen for financial reasons obviously.

Are DAZN offering their service to pubs yet? Might be an indicator of their ambitions.

Tbh there's not been a lot too interest me since having Dazn anyway, only kept it because it was 2 quid.
Meh! no thanks, they can do one.
