it's freakin $60, for only two big fights. And one of the official undercard fights is Mohammed Alakel, which Turki is always trying to make happen but won't happen. I don't get it. Dude is on every undercard fighting someone who is CLEARLY paid to show up and make no effort to win. Is he the son of a family member or influential businessman or something?

If Turki wants some quality Saudi boxers, he should use some of his influence as Sports Minister to open boxing gyms and programs in the poorest, worst neighborhoods in Saudi. It'll take a while, but 5+ years down the road, they could really have something if they throw money at it this way. Make it so it's 100% free, make it easy for the kids to get to, cover the cost of their equipment, feed them while they're there after their workout, host amateur tournaments and transport the kids to them, etc.

Sounds bad or exploitative in a way, but if you want to find boxing talent, look in the poorest, worst neighborhoods you can find. That's where you're going to have some kids who understand struggle, willing to bust ass for a better life.

sure, occasionally a middle class kid gets his bicycle stolen and the cop he reports the theft to invites him to a youth boxing program, and the kid grows up to be The Greatest, but that’s rare.

Stevenson is a very weak puncher.

I would not say he is any weaker than Farmer. And Stevenson actually has a nasty uppercut, and sometimes he does sit down on his punches.
All I am saying, is that he is more likely to get the stoppage in this fight.

Also, I cant find any site that lists more fights than boxrec. Seems like their prelims/undercard is just 2 fights tonight.
