Think this is pretty fair. He'll be rewarded handsomely for a fight he thinks is stacked well in his favour.

I am disappointed that this seems to be the route he is going down though. I had very much hoped that they would have manoevured either Parker or Kabayel in as his next opponent. They are more deserving of a shot at the title next than Joshua is.

I had read somewhere - pinch of salt time - that Parker is stuck in limbo due to a rematch clause with Zhang, and this is why he hadn't boxed since March. It would be a shame if true, especially given that Zhang has fought since.

I said the resurgent Parker. The one who has been on a recent run. The rest have recent records that either exceed or are comparable to Joshua's recent exploits. Joshua has done nothing but lose for around four years now. Anyone without his name whose only noteworthy achievement in going on half a decade is a win against Otto Wallin does not get any title shots, never mind three in 2 years.

DDD knew he could walk through Joshua's shots and will do the same again - one punch lands and Joshua simply falls apart.

Cannot see how Joshua wins so he would be just as well coming out and having a 3 minute shootout hoping DDD takes the knee.

I agree both on paper deserve the shot more then Joshua does, but if Dubois isn't being made to fight them next, I get why he goes back in with Joshua instead of waiting around for the winner or Usyk and Fury.

If that is true about Parker that is a shame as he turned his career around with his last couple of wins and again you'd wonder why Zheng vs Parker if it did, even had a rematch clause. It had no number 1 contender or belt on the line.

Dubois certainly started the fight in that fashion and was proven right in how he dominated the fight besides that moment in the fifth round where Joshua buzzed him and Dubois responding by knocking him down and finishing the job.

Joshua definitely for me needs to come out all guns blazing, but who knows with him, he's a come forward knock out guy, then it's about the sweet science of boxing, he has a glorious chance here if he can find a way to be right back in the mix, he doesn't deserve the rematch, but as we know in boxing, some who do don't get it and some who don't deserve it, get it.

Funny how some people bring up him beating Ruiz in the rematch, as if that was hard. Ruiz wasn't even British level that night.

I like what Turki Al Sheikh has done for heavyweight boxing but I do get the impression he's too much of a fanboy of the Brits. He's probably still hoping for AJ to come through and for Fury to come through, to set that one up for all the belts. In the case of AJ, it's ridiculous at this point for him to be jumping the queue again.
The whole obsession with Matchroom v Queensbury is boring now too. Id rather he just retired Eddie Hearn.

It makes the most sense from a business perspective. Fanboyism has nothing to do with it.

If there was a rematch clause, it is worth it for DDD.

He got to smack AJ around at Wembley and put himself in the public eye. And likely does it again but quicker in the rematch.

I can't see him turning it around but if he did manage to then a trilogy fight would make sense and also sell very well.

If AJ had obliterated DDD in the same fashion, do you think we’d have seen an immediate rematch even though dubois was the champion. I put it at a 0.00% probability

The potato on legs never recovered from the end of the first Joshua fight when he celebrated doing 5 reps jumping 3 inches into the air and has never caught his 2nd wind since.

During the same incident, his belly pounded and damaged his testicles, he broke both feet with impact on landing and he struggles to keep his hands high due to the permanent dislodgement of moobs.
