Sorry but have i missed something? James De Gale doesn't have a fight listed on boxrec. I'm pretty sure he was fighting a pole for the European Title.

I'm getting a bit worried with the lack of coverage of boxing on the Sky Sports website as there is nothing on there about it. I'm beginning to wonder if the rumours of Sky pulling out of boxing are true.

They aren't. All they are on people on here who have seen that they don't have any live fights listed, and presumed Sky must be pulling out of boxing. Anyone who has ever looked at their 'Live on Sky' page will know it is hardly ever up-to-date.

Adam Smith said they would be back on the 3rd September, and there are loads of potential Saturday Fight night cards scheduled that just wouldn't be happening if Sky weren't putting money in.

Can I just take this moment to reiterate how overrated and **** James DeGale is. I've never been a hater before, but for this little ****-end I'll gladly start.

If he was even funny it wouldn’t be so bad. But he’s absolutely charmless and witless. And ****. Did I mention he’s **** yet?

  7. One loss? We write him off as ****?

You're full of anger mate. Every time you post it's confrontational angry shite.

    I don't mind him actually.

He's a bit dim, but some of the **** he says makes me laugh.

He's nowhere near as dislikable our mutual friend Audley Harrison, or David Haye for that matter.

    *Sigh*

Always? Only if by always you mean today, which by any intelligent definition isn’t anything like “always”. It would be “today”. Not difficult.

Take a look through my post history. Yeah, I engage in debates, but it’s hardly confrontational. Confrontational is what’s happening in London, not on a boxing forum.

As for hater? Re-read the post and, while you’re at it, re-read all my comments about DeGale since the Smith fight. The boy is a complete tool and, even worse, he’s not that good. He can move his hands quick and that’s about it. Everyone jumped on his sack after that fight, even though his behaviour towards Groves was absolutely shameful. And after all his boasts, he looked absolutely clueless at what to do when an opponent didn’t come to him.

It’s nothing to do with one loss, it’s that I think he’s ****ing ****.

  11. Let's look at him for what he is. Talks a lot of **** in the build up to fights and is ultra confident. What's not to like? Are we saying we prefer a shrinking violet who puts on a media friendly personna, who has no confidence in his ability?
More often than not I hear that he's a great lad out of the ring and away from boxing. And let's put his loss into perspective. He just needed 10% more activity in the fight to win. George stuck very well to a gameplan. He deserved his win as much as degale would have deserved it had he have won.
The hate is down to not liking his style and believing the media image he puts across.

  12. Double sigh..
I have no desire to read through you entire post history. I just think your style is confrontational in general. Just like I'm being right now haha. In some circumstances it's great. But sometimes it's just for the sake of hating on someone you don't like. I fail to see where degale has shown he's ****. He might not have concussive ko power but he's got a lot more in his locker.
Some of the things he says and does are totally soft I'll agree. But calling an Olympic gold medalist who won a British title in his 9th fight **** is off the mark.

That’s bull****. He’s not any good at playing the bad boy. He was painful and his behaviour after the fight showed him for what he was. DeGale is a bitter, spoilt little boy who knows he’s not as good as he makes out. Instead of saying “George got his tactics spot on. I thought I won but I’ll just need to go back and work on what I did wrong” He made out like he’d been robbed. What a twat.

What’s not to like? His poor punching technique, his appalling offensive tactics, his smug sense of entitlement, and his insufferable posing when he wins. The guy is a total ****. He’s a “top lad” when people are sucking up to him, but soon as he didn’t get his own way he turned into a petulant brat.

I like confident guys, but he says the most idiotic things. He’s a bit of a disgrace considering his background. Groves was funny without being a complete dick. Maybe DeGale should try it.

But he won’t. Because he’s a complete dick.

People like you who defend him with such astoundingly dumb arguments make me hate him even more.

    And did I mention he’s ****?

If you’re going to say I’m “always” being confrontational, please back it up. I’m blunt and forthright, but it’s only confrontational if you don’t have a proper argument. Which you don’t.

And considering my post was made in jest (which Gaz figured out), you’ve taken it all a little seriously. I do think DeGale is **** though.
