theres a different between being smart between the ropes and outside of them, before the smith fight, after it and after the groves fight i thought and still think he will be a 2 weight world champion, only time will tell
Smith Should not have been at 168, I agree. People were calling it a stand out performance because of who he beat, (30 fights v 9 fights ) in someone else's back yard. It was mature, assured and he was accurate. That's why it was standout. Not because it confirmed he'd beat ward or froch ATM.

I think I've been pretty consistent on this issue.:good I picked him to beat Smith but was never sold on Smiths lofty world ranking at 168 in the first place. The Smith win was a job well done in his 9th(?) fight but it wasn't a win over a genuine top 10 world fighter as some were proclaiming it. If nothing else the Groves fight has probably restored a bit of realism as to where DeGale is in his career.
James DeGale is a real talent. He can slap his hands faster than anyone in Britain. Fact. 'J Force' Degale is a cocky, Olympic Gold medalist who, "please believe me", will become world champion. What's not to like? End sarcasm.
