OK so the fight takes place in say February of 2011. Oscar hasn't boxed in over 2 years. His only 2 half decent wins in the last 6 or 7 years would've been against Mayorga and a questionable decision against Felix Sturm. At their peaks it's a great matchup and de la Hoya would probably win. But Oscar's about 36 now and Cotto would have far too much for him even if he is pretty worn himself.
this fight has zero chance of happening because delahoya has publically said that he will never fight a puerto rican because his wife is from puerto rico and he lives there to. thats why tito vs delahoya 2 has never happened.
ODLH struggled with Forbes, he got beaten without looking like he has even a pulse against Pac. Cotto is still a class operator and even stylistically it's his type of fight. He more hungrier then ODLH and will beat him mate......beat him up badly as well.
Cotto signed a 3yr contract or something to get the Pac fight. HBO won't give GBP a new deal regardless of what they'd do.
