Uninteresting, unnessescary. I wish Forbes would knock him out, because Oscars insists on fighting Mayweather again if he wins. That would mean Cotto doesn't get his shot at Floyd, which would be the only potentially competitive fight for the champ.
But I guess it makes sense for Mayweather to fight someone he knows he can beat for big money instead of actually risking losing. It just doesn't make sense to anyone wanting to see two high level fighters like Cotto and Mayweather duel in a fight that would actually be dangerous for Floyd.

Oscar wins against Forbes so he can have his shot at Mayweather, Oscar fights Mayweather, Mayweather fights Cotto afterwards, we're all happy.

Who cares. The match has no meaning whatsoever. I dont get why Oscar keeps on flirting with boxing. Goldenboy is doing very well. His a walking cash cow he definitely loves boxing but i think its time for him to take a back seat and retire. He says he wants to fight 3 times this year. What exactly for and why? And then his 1st choice is Forbes a career super feather?

Thats what i thought. If Forbes participation in The Contender is anything to go by then this fight will be at 47 or more likely 54. Oscar is a joke. The fights a gimme. I hope he beats him.

147 would kill oscar at his age, i thought he looked gaunt and drained at the weigh in for the mayweather fight which was at 154!

Oscar has to have a win as he has lost 4 out of his last 5 fights so what does he do/ Gets a guy who is employed by GBP and who will be 15 to 18 lbs. lighter than Oscar fight night. Forbes has no chance. Oscar beats him up all the time as he is one of Oscars sparring partners. Forbes is fighting his boss so guess how much effort he will put into this fight to win. It's incredible to think that some guys (nuthuggers) try to justify this fight as being anything other than a "gimme" win for Oscar. I can see it now. Forbes lying on the mat,
Oscar frolicing around the ring with both arms held high showing the victory sign, teenyboppers screaming "Oscar, Oscar" from every corner of the arena, Oscar in his post fight interview saying "I'm back", and the music in the background blaring out "Glory, Glory Hallelulah". What a night that'll be. Oscars night. Damn, what a guy!!!!

Should be interesting to see how Oscar deals with someone who isn't world class for the first time in years. The mega fights do get a little old.

Should be interesting in a few ways.
