Broner is "'73 Larry Holmes" to Floyd's "Ali"
(No offence to Larry & Muhammad)

Nothing wrong with modeling yourself after the best.

Well, geez. A seasoned, multimillionaire, with hired servants, stylists, etc., displays more style than a raw, street kid who has yet to have have a "big payday".

    "Who'da thunk"! :patsch

I don't find many similarities between Broner and Mayweather personally. I think people just see a cocky black dude and assume he's biting Mayweather. Other than saying mr HBO and no blueprint and using the shoulder roll the similarities are few and far between.

Broner actually has wit and gift of gab. Peep the press conference vs Perez for some hilarious off the top come backs from Broner to Perez' trainer, also a string of 5 big headed jokes in a row about Perez. Mayweather has no gift of gab, stutters and gets flustered and comes across like he's always on the defensive and takes offense to everything. Broner comes across like he's just a fun loving dude clowning around with his natural personality being that of a joker (we all got friends like that), Mayweather comes across more arrogant and doesn't have Broners sense humour or charm.

:deal if mayweather was the first cocky black dude that talks ****, there must be ALOT of wannabes.

besides the philly shell, there really arent much similarities. Broner has got his own stlye and his personal charisma about him. people just looking for a reason hate.

I think later on as he moves up in weight, he will stop be a KO artist and have the main goal of getting the W.

    Just like Floyd.

Agreed with a lot of which has been said.

I think every fighter probably picks up on things from fighters they admire, but Jesus, he takes it to the extreme. The personality and mannerism emulation is just bizarre and He's been calling Floyd big brother recently. I don't think they even know each other that well.

That aside I do like watching him fight and look forward to seeing where he goes.

He calls him big bro and **** all over Twitter, it's kinda ridiculous.

The thing is Broner does actually have his own identity both inside and out the ring, which I prefer to his Mayweather arselicking. I think he's much more effective as a forward pressuring boxer/puncher than staying in his Philly shell and eating alot more shots than Floyd does. His whole stupid brush routine is also funnier than "you know what it is, easy money blah blah bollocks"
