Let's be honest, your life changed for the worst when Dana bought Pride and it was abolished soon after.:tong
Too bad UFC doesn't have Grand Prixs..... Big Nog, Anderson Silva, Rampage Jackson, Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva all Pride Veterans, who have done just okay in UFC  Dana White is a good business man, but I don't think his interest lies in having the best fight the best.....how else could the UFC Heavy Weight Division be so wanting....
My son waited for the boxed sets and then bought them. I don't think we are up to the end yet. Great stuff. He had convinced himself he wouldn't watch the 90 minute fight between Gracie/Sakuraba........ But he did. We were both convinced before hand that it couldn't be that interesting. WRONG!!!!!
Sakuraba and Royce gave it their all. Sak fought Royce under his own rules and made him quit. It was an epic battle.
You cant do alot of things in some states in the USA from what i hear. I know i could come across like a idiot but i have heard that some states dont allow gambling and the consumption of alcohol? A freind mentioned UTAH as one of the very strict states. Im Australian so i find such strict rules from a country that sells Guns at KMart very amusing. Can any of the American posters give me some info on yor glorious country??
Cheers for the link, I will need to get myself some dvd's of these events. :good I liked the other gracie against Sakuraba, had his arm broken and didnt want to quit.
pride is much better than UFC, UFC protects wrestlers who can stand up, they take a position agains the cage, and lie on top of opponesnts in UFC in pride that doesnt happen. i prefer vale tudo rules to MMA if a guy is dumb enough to lie on the floor he should get kicked in the head, i like to see finishes. i like the grand prix 8 fight's i think UF is ****. the thing i hate most about UFC is the fans there a bunch of redneck dicks who should go and watch WWE because they dont have a clude. by the way Pride lives in Dream they even have the old anouncer.
This is just ignorant. How many times do fighters have to duck between the ropes to avoid the fight, grab them to avoid a takedown, fall ****ing through them, get slapped by a hundred tiny japanese men in bow ties, constantly stop the fight and restart it, killing all momentum, and just out right blatant for all to see open and outright CHEATING for specific fighters needs to be mentioned? Not to mention blatantly working fights.
