Really? I thought my man Erik emulated Marquez' style pretty well in the first fight.

His intentions were to show that Pacquiao's "improvement" was a myth and I think he did a hell of a job :deal

I've seen all those, all excellent.

Personally, I think Manny was on his "best version" on the last fight, as far as boxing fundamentals are concerned.
He did got hit less and tagged JMM more than their previous 2 fights.

They may not be huge improvements, but I maintain my position that he did improve on punch selection (doesn't charge in without first feinting or jabbing, his accuracy is better too) and combination (up and down, not just jab, jab straight), balance (was really shitty before since he overcommits way too much, also why JMM wasn't able to rock Pac as solidly as before since JMM used to use Pac's momentum against him a lot), defense (dodging and parrying and using the high guard more effectively), timing (the way he negates jabs with his lead left is noteworthy), right hook (he throws it better now, not as wide as before and more timed, and infinitely more powerful).

Other than those "slight" adjustments, I'm very disappointed that it appeared that he regressed with his foot placement. He used to turn even the great Erik Morales around with ease.
Or maybe it was just that JMM is a master on it.

03:39. 04:46 5:26 The editor forgot. Stepping on Pacquaio's foot. Stop him from moving. Overall, the video made sense. Thanks for sharing.

    Dude, that's an unfair comparison.
Morales is a god among mere mortals.
Maybe he let JMM borrow some of his mojo.

Seriously tho, Erik did it a bit differently, but yes, as far as baiting, controlling distance and countering aggressively and movement is concerned, he did setup the same traps.

But still, Morales is god. End of disucssion.

I agree that Morales is great :deal

But I also believe that Manny will have hell against a technician that's physically bigger than him

Lol..... even after pac and Freddy dismissed this as cheating the *******s continue..pac maybe a better fighter but Marquez is the better boxer.. he got robbed and not to take any of pacs achievements away but Marquez just has his number, theirs no shame in pac losing to Marquez he's a master boxer.

The author of the video didn't prove or show that PAC hasn't improved. It just showed that Juan had a different game plan and strategy to beat a 2012 version of PAC...it also showed that PAC went in with the same game plan that he had in the rematch which was a big mistake. Over confidence and lack of a fresh game plan usually doesn't end well. PAC was lucky the judges saw it for him.

JMM is amazing with his intelligence, timing, and gameplan.

It makes me appreciate even more how a wild, flawed, and fundamentally inept (according to many here including the video maker) fighter can still beat him 3 times.
