Have you got any evidence to back this up? It's a very presumptive statement...

You're not really having an opinion, you're just ranting on and have a clear hatred for Eddie Hearn.

Whether you like the bloke or not he has been a success. No one in the sport can be a success by only attracting hardcore boxing fans, you've got to have a casual audience.
Look at Loma v Rigo for instance! What an unbelievable match up that was, a pure boxing fight... and yet it did 4,000 in the smaller arena at MSG.

If Degale had stayed with Hearn he'd have been plastered everywhere; talk shows, magazines etc and WOULD have been PPV, no doubt.
I don't like Degale but when he came back from America with the title he had support brewing, he chose to walk away from that and box at 4 am in miscellaneous USA shows...

He was right not to spend the money. Eddie Hearn is not a charity. Degale wanted a fight in December and wanted to be well paid for it. Hearn couldn't give him the fight he wanted for the money he wanted and why should he considering Degale is not even a matchroom fighter?

Would Degale be a PPV fighter if he stayed with Matchroom?

I don't blame Degale for taking the money Haymon offered him, its a short career. However don't then start saying you should be fighting on Sky when your back in the UK or be Sky Box office fighter and somehow blaming Hearn for not doing those things. Once Degale went with Haymon, Hearn didn't need to be 100% for Degale as Degale was clearly not 100% for Hearn.

Exactly. Its the same with the 2nd hand ticket market. As Hearn said Warren claims his shows doesn't have the same issues as Matchroom shows do where there are tickets being sold for inflated prices online but that's simply because Warren hasn't had any shows where the demand has been so high that people can sell tickets.

Eubank v Groves isn't a Matchroom show but again huge demand and tickets being sold on the 2nd hand market.

Definitely. Talk about a break getting a rematch with no clause. We will see if hes finished in the return. I have a feeling its the same result or maybe a late tko for Truax, Degale looked done last time !

I'm not sure there was too much logic involved in DeGale's decision to sign with Al. He's a Mayweather fan. Al is Mayweather's guy. Mayweather is slick and rich. James wanted to be slick and rich. I believe that was about the depth of the rationale.

Poor old Lee Selby (also a Mayweather fan, but not as giddy a personality as James) probably just thought that Al might be able to get him some good, career-developing fights for solid pay and get him known to the US audience. Hasn't really worked out.

Degale taking this rematch could end his career like the Thompson rematch ended Price's.

Truax should defend against Lucian Bute first. There is good money there and it's an easier fight. Then fight Degale in a rematch.

All 3 fighters are with Haymon

Truax is obviously very beatable but DeGale is shot, injury ravaged and only a fraction of the fighter he once was. I think the Bute fight, and especially the Porky Medina one, in addition to his body breaking down on him, took a lot out of him. He was never the same after the Medina fight, you could see that when he fought Jack. Prime DeGale would've won that one (Jack) at a canter.

Degale is a still a PPV Fighter now if he gets the right match up
    vs Groves = PPV
    vs Eubank Jr = ppv
    vs GGG = PPV
    vs Canelo = PPV

vs Caleb Truax he isn't a PPV but neither is Kell Brook vs Rabchenko

Hearn talks a big game but Degale winning fights makes him being a star in his own right these days, Degale has a good profile regardless of Eddie not doing anything for him.

Groves fought Froch in front of 80K but Degale is arguably just as well known

Degale made more coin going to the US and was more well regarded worldwide.
Eddie acts like Degale ruined his career going to US but that is pure BS

Eddie might not have done any better, look at Kell Brook and his career progression

Truax might knock him out this time, Degale is finished.
