Yeah, thought he did well. Crowd reaction to Degale after an excellent hard fight was embarrassing. Thought he'd have won them over after that.

The guy showed good heart. Whether he can really cut it at the top level is another matter, however, I agree with the above poster, I think the crowd should have given him a bit of a break after that effort.

As far as the Groves fight goes, he probably did box better there, and truth be known, had he really pushed it, he'd have probably got the nod in that fight. Tonight he dug in, dug out a result, but looked pretty shoddy overall. However was the guy tonight a worse or better fighter than Groves, who knows.

can someone make a gif of chunky punching himself in the head, round 10 after he knocked the mouth guard out he went in for a uppercut and hit himself.

Honestly - no improvement from the Groves effort, no.

I kinda warmed to DeGale after that fight, thought he took a lot of solid punches. But then he spoils it with the interview, so up his own backside its unreal.

You're all forgetting he's the first person to ever win the O8M European title, gotta give him credit for that.

He didn't leave the ringside area until Bellew was in the ring lol.

I was sat ringside and in the 5th when he was shook, the whole area just went silent

Our trainers are embarrassingly bad, Degale turned over as a highly skilled Gold Medalist and now he is a stand up one dimensional brawler :patsch

This loyalty he has towards Jim Mac will be his downfall.

I like James, he showed heart and given this is only his 12th fight he hasn't done too badly (just think where fraudly was @ this stage) but I agree with others Jim Mac just isn't the trainer for him. He's got this far with heart as he seems to have gone backward in boxing ability. I think he's regressed with Jim Mac. Even Tibbs would have brought out better in him. I can't see why James doesn't see it or why ****** hasn't advised him.

Besides his inability to coach James Jim Mac seems like a nice guy in person but like an inexperienced kid high on speed anytime the camera is near him or James. How can you respect a guy like that.

Degale showed good heart yesterday and will to win, but his defense was worse then it was against groves. He got hit flush in almost every round and he's lucky the bloke was a light puncher with only 10 kos in 31 fights. Having said he was not a puncher he still wobbled degale in the 5th I think, and forced him to hold on for 10-20 secs. He was talking about Kessler afterwards.... Not with that defence.

I was very disappointed with Degale last night, he showed good chin and toughness but where the **** is his head movement?! At this rate he's a KO waiting to happen.
