Wowsers, just looked up Gavins opponent; 19 wins and 6 losses, that's a great step up for only his 4th fight. Especially given that he stopped him in two.
I dont know about Degale still left with some question marks about how far he can go. I think he will need to be in with some tricky fighters who will take him a couple of rounds to figure out. I think his power will come on with fights and his shots will get better but saying that I think he is the biggest worry for Warren out of the trio of Olympians he has. I think his over confiedence will be his down fall. Out of the trio I think he will be the first one to taste defeat. In his so called division there are some great fights in the making and they will all be beating one and other. I dont see 1 fighter getting the better of them all so if he wants it he will have to show it. Having that medal dangle over your head makes the better fighters want to beat you more so he will be hunted to those fighters.
I thought Degale's performance last night was a great improvement on his previous fights however it would be hard not to improve given the poor standard he has so far set himself. He was slapping alot, even when he was finishing the guy off. What worrys me more though is his shocking defense - did anyone notice the considerable marking under his left eye after the fight?
