I'm looking forward to this weekend to see my countryman Khatchikian in a fight for a meaningful title. It's the first time in years a Dutch fighter gets an opportunity. He's the best thing we have at the moment, he's tough and I'm wondering if he's able to grab the title and I will definitely watch the fight and support him. But now I'm wondering about the undercard. On Boxrec there's an undercard listed with guys like Hughie Fury and a couple of debuting fighters, but they are all 'TBA'. Now I saw Hughie twittering yesterday about a wedding he was going to and on the site of Hennessy sports there is no update. Is there even an undercard or is it just DeGale vs Khatchikian and Haskins vs Johnson
its **** poor Huighe Fury doesn't have a fight yet. Haskins is on the card as well but looks like he is fight tba as well.
He looks a awkward opponent for anybody and I think hed give most people something to think about he could win a world title against the likes of bika. But from a fans point of veiw hes horrible to watch

Posted my impression of Khatchikian elsewhere: Khatchikian strikes me as resembling a very poor man's Piotr Wilczewski (average hand-speed and pop, lots of robotic body-jabbing while circling, then falling in with sloppy overhand rights, a penchant for lowering arms to slap wide hooks at the body on the outside...) - except without Wilk's cleverness, work rate, infighting ability, or proven toughness & stamina. Now, a fear years back Wilk caught DeGale coming directly off the Groves loss and it was among DeGale's worst nights in the ring, very low-energy and unmotivated...and Wilk put in a valiant effort, gave DeGale a hard run, actually hurt DeGale a few times, but ultimately came up short and still lose close but clear (115-113 DeGale on my card and two judges'). Khatchikian seems to bring nothing Wilk didn't, and in fact less of the same things...so unless DeGale is at his absolute worst ever... DeGale already had an 'off night' and still beat a better version of Khatchikian in Wilk. DeGale would need to be injured or sustain a horrible cut from a lucky blow (or a headbutt or elbow or some other accidental foul the ref didn't see) for Khatchikian to have an in. Just a huge difference in class IMO. Even on his laziest recent form, Chunky ought to be able to coast to a W here. Khatchikian has neither the athleticism nor versatility to exploit those lazy tendencies. Anyone have a different feeling?
Hopefully the Badou Jack fight will be on the Mayweather undercard and Chunky can show a huge audience what a talented fighter he is! People that don't rate Degale need to remember how close the Groves fight was (I personally believe and i know a lot of other do too than Degale nicked that by a round or 2) And now everyone is saying how great George Groves is. James Degale is a real class act and will almost certainly become world champion.
Agreed i was there and i thought Degale won the fight, he is really talented and hopefully he can push on this year.
I felt Groves beat Degale, close fight but the correct decision was made in my opinion. That said, Degale is clearly a talent.. I've heard the Badou Jack fight will be on the Mayweather undercard as well so if that's the case Degale has a huge platform there to really go out and make a statement.
