Cheers lads,in this case I can understand it-lets just hope his career doesn't go the Kell Brook route!

Jim McDonald is a barrier to being world champ. If chunky makes it he's done on natrual talent not with the help of his trainer

To be fair to Hennessey he isn't as fond as eliminators as Hearn. Or Jet from Gladiators.

Hughie Fury will be fighting on the March 22nd in Sheffield instead of on this card. Three cards in the month of March for Channel Five- good stuff.

I agree with what your saying he is a poor mans Wilks, but i dont think that fight had anything to do with Degale being unmotivated i think Wilkz is very underated and pushed abraham hard a few months later mate. Wilkz was upright and very good at swaying back and avoiding punches from what i remember this guy isnt and i suspect Degale will win inside the distance.

As long as Khatchikian doesn't fall over like Richel Hersisia or worse, John Emmen, I'm happy :D

He's the best we have at the moment, so I don't hope so either.
I've seen some of his fights, he's tough, but he never fought on the level of DeGale. I'm hoping we'll see a big upset tonight.

[edit]I'm seeing that Hughie Fury has been removed from the card. That's a pity.[/edit]

Will be interesting to see how it folds out now, that counter right hand Jack got caught with was a beauty.

    Chavez Jr?

After he retired I remember hearing Ray Joval was still active in the gym (maybe owned his own?), sparring and helping train younger talents. He was probably your country's last really good boxer. I was a big Hallelujah fan.

Did he play any part in mentoring Khatchikian that you know of? Is he still involved with the sport in any way anymore?

Deffo rate Wilk myself, underrated, always gets high marks for effort and you're right he gave Abe the business.

I think it was a bit each from columns A & B. DeGale a bit dispirited coming off the disappointment in the Groves showdown and maybe looking through Wilk and not giving him 100% of his focus along with Wilk being better than expected and really up for it himself.

Lesson in opposites, aren't they? Wilk does more (tries harder) with less (natural talent) and Chunky does less with more.

Anyone have any idea how much he gets for his c5 fights, this one looks like a high school gym he's fighting out of, he's said he gets 6 figures but it's hard to believe
