erm his defence wasnt poo (or it was for the whole of 5 seconds) but overall his defence was quite good. His offence also wasnt that bad, he picked his punches well. His technique mind you was shocking:smoke
we have completely different standards when it comes to a fighters game. him getting caught by a double left hand was hilarious. him ending the fight with a slap was also hilarious.
im not doubting you that the slaps were ****in funny at times but his defence was reasonably decent for most of the fight, he is still a work in progress and he is looking quite impressive in some departments. I think we will have to agree to disagree here:smoke
what happened to the good old days when a boxer had a nice robe and having a name on the top of his shorts was as flashy as it got. I don't dislike Degale and I used to enjoy Hameds ridiculous entrances...but that was awful. The fact that the sound system was so poor and the song so gash just made it feel like you were watching a spoof. I was actually cringing like I would at certain parts of The Office when David Brent was doing something incredible awkward. If it had been a good London rapper or group with a banging system then it would have been fine. Instead it was some tinny mic with a fat kid singing in a **** voice "It's chuuunnnnkkky" over and over as they meandered towards the ring with no atmosphere in the crowd at all.atsch
I've been fairly neutral on DeGale so far. He's come across as a little cocky which I dont like, but he gets a pass because he's a boxer and you need to be a bit cocky. I'll also reserve judgement on how far I think he'll go until he's in there with a decent test. But that ring entrance made me think "tosser". Also had three texts that night all along the lines of "Have you seen DeGale's entrance? Hope he gets knocked out". He's not doing himself any favours. As for the performance. He was good, but no better than that. Got caught with some stupid shots.
