It could have gone either way:good Watt had a great jab though, i agree with you there.I'd go so far as to say it was as good as anyone in the historyof the division. Unfortunately his other tools weren't able to support it like a Whitaker could.
That's pretty harsh I feel. I don't think any British fighter of his time has a better accomplishment than Ken's victory over Ismael Laguna, especially considering the home town advantage and the stifling conditions he endured to get the win. He may be overrated a tad (threads like this are proof of that with the overwhelming majority picking him to beat DeJesus) but he was a genuinely great fighter.
Does your high praise of Laguna have something to do with your apparent disdain for Buchanan Mantequilla? I think he was a great fighter personally, regardless of an off performance against a tough stylist in Watt.
