I love Tito but you're not describing him, you're describing Rocky Marciano. He actually did break a fighter's arms in a fight by hitting him there since he has no other targets. Tito never did this, and there's no reason to believe he would or could.

I seem to remember one of the 24/7's where Floyd was talking to Rahman. They were talking about who he should fight after his upcoming fight. At the end Floyd said he'd fight Berto if Berto wins his rematch against Ortiz. Rahman said "Berto" in a sarcastic voice about to continue when he caught himself but still had a look of disbelief. That clip lead me to believe that for some reason Floyd has always wanted to fight Berto despite others around him knowing that Berto is undeserving. Why he's always wanted to fight Berto, idk...

Oscar has short career but his fights are all meaningful.

Opinion more than fact?but yes,ATG rankings are always opinions not FACT'S.but every historian rates Floyd higher.i take their opinion more seriously than hardcore Floyd hater.schooled #48 and as always,it's only excuses.even if Floyd schooled Wlad, haters would find a way to diss that.and that's FACT.

My opinion does not change the record, and according to the rules of boxing the official judges decide who wins. I was not an official judge. I only say that because if you are comparing boxers careers and accomplishments, you have to start with some objective facts. If you don't do that, then an already subjective endeavor becomes ridiculously subjective, and rather sad really. That being said to answer your question, if I were a judge in any of those fights my cards would have been in favor of: Whitaker, Strum, and Lewis. Also my card would have been in favor of Whitaker in his fight against De La Hoya. None of that changes their official outcome.

Well my point was just because they were awarded the decisions that didn't necessarily mean they won ..Those things have to be considered when making these comparisons ..

But then there is no objective way to compare. You'll say Oscar beat Whitaker, then I'll retort that Whitaker beat Oscar. We'll just keep going in circles. If we go by the official record at least we can start on common ground and move on from there.

No I hear you .. just some decisions were just to obvious to agree with the final decision

Agreed. Tito tended not to throw much at all unless he had a welcoming target. The Winky fight illustrates this extremely well.

You do realize if Oscar was still fighting, Floyd would have never become PPV king. Floyd was PRIME when oscar was washing up and nobody paid attention to Floyd, and the funny thing is he was fighting hard back than with better opponents. Everyone knows Oscar made Floyd anyway.
Oscar was the PPV king during an era of tons of prime ATGs. Who Is floyd king during? LOL little washed up Pac? LOL Boxing fans just have nobody to watch anymore, all of the true greats retired. And a another massive factor towards these PPV sales are social media exploding the past 5 years. If you put prime Oscar, Trinidad, Vargas, Mosley, Whitaker etc right now in the mix, once again nobody would be paying attention to Floyd and these guys would be making massive PPV numbers, bigger than Floyd vs. Pac I guarentee it. I mean geez, look at Floyd's fights. Sparring matchs vs. mostly bums, compared to guys that actually go out and try to hammer their opponent and face THE BEST possible opposition. Fans are just so desperate and many like myself remember how damn good boxing was during that era, and now we have barely anyone and only watch Floyd because there isn't much else to watch. But luckily GGG is coming up, with Crawford and Kov and boxing will be rejuvenated once again, thanks to them.

Oscar OUTLANDED both men in power punches and in both fights landed the more effective punches and damaged both mens faces. Its not rocket science. 115-113 over Pernell and 116-112 over Tito.
