Give them both Maxie Rosenblooms power and ordinary reflexes and see which of them gets furthest with no changes to their style.
Refexes are about a lot more than slipping a shot, e.g handspeed, countering, responding to prety much anything. The fact that these things are among the first to go as a fighter ages lends to the idea that they owe a lot to genetics.
you are ****ing worthless Pachilles...and actually very few fighters can do Ali's style and not just look like skipping ******. So I would disagree with your assessment..now **** off.
actually yanking your ****ing head back will get you destroyed unless you have superhuman reflexes...
Ali would do better than Dempsey under these set conditions by virtue of his chin. Also, exploding on the inside with Maxie Rosenbloom's power and no reflexes to speak of sounds like a hell of a way to get knocked out.
I totally disagree. I think Ali's style had a lot to do with the downfall of boxing. Not necessarily Ali himself, but his style.
I think that's the problem boxing has today. People want to boxers fight, not dance around the ring, being a defensive wizard. Look no further than the rise of MMA.
true...ali was a legend..but even some of his fights could be boring...now when other fighters tried to do that style it was usually very boring..and very ***** looking.
dempsey knew great skills for a fighter like the falling step. his book championship fighting is excellent.
Ali is my clear number one ,but Dempsey was a more complete fighter imo,so was Louis. Ali's god given assets defied the laws of pugilism, but you would not want to be teaching his style to every kid in the gym.
