Boytsov was allways drunk in russian clubs in Hamburg and was playing the tough guy. In Berlin is a big russian Mafia and perhaps he played tough guy with the false people?! Vor Waldemar kluch vor whats bis Name is has something to do with this
Sad to hear, hopefully he recovers quickly.. but he'll never box again that's for sure. These kinds of brain injuries typically you never fully recover.
I still had hopes he was going to get his career together, go 100% and show the world what he was capable of. Check out some earlier footage of him, NOT the same mess of a fighter we saw against Leapai. I thought he looked solid against Costa jr, that was his best performance in a lost time. Shame.
Not long before Universum folded i remember Boytsov was trying to get out of his contract and his manager (or someone on his team) was attacked by several men with metal pipes and was hospitalized with pretty bad injuries.
Yeah, he's known for being a drunk. It's basically the reason why he's not on Povetkin's heels right now as far as a know. I tend to think it was drunk antics more than a set up.
I remember this incident that happened in Germany awhile back involving some thug looking security dudes (think they were employed by Universum although I might be wrong about that). [YT]34Y6-sPF6uA[/YT]
