Mitch Green had a good chin and was in his prime. Maddalone was old, previously TKO'd by non power puncher Adamek. Boytsov is not even close to Tyson. Boytsov is ****. Has no skills except occasional power against bums.
Denis Boytsov is one of my least favorite heavyweights and he is the epitome of what is wrong here. Boytsov is very inactive,he has never fought a top 200 fighter yet. He always looks bored. He has no defense. He wants his Wlad loss so he can retire. **** this *****. As soon as he fights a top 200 fighter,he will get KO'd.
Boytsov isn't even as good as Mormeck. Have you seen this ****head's record? Look at some video of him against the shitty opposition. This guy shouldn't go past 3 or 4.
What the hell has Boytsov done to be ranked this high? He's fought no one and looked thoroughly unimpressive in doing so. He's nothing more than another Solis, inactive for long stretches, fights nobodies when he does, seems to have no interest beyond winning the fight in the most perfunctory way possible, quite clearly looking to cash in for a fight he has no intention (nor ability) to win. Screw this guy.
My Goodness. I'd Rumble in this chicks Jungle. I'd let Dong King promote that battle in Seattle. I'd launch the Pink torpedo. I'd let the Dark Knight Rise. I'd show her my stiff jab. OK I sense I've gone too far.
All true, mostly. Except Boytsov has CRUSHING power in both hands, great balance, and great ring generalship. What he lacks, in an absurd way, is experience with top fighters. Blame this on Universum, where good fighters go to die. Also, of course, his long layoff was due to hand problems. My guess is that he could rise to very near the top, but he's a little too stiff & slow to beat the very elite fighters. Even someone like Haye would probably have his way with Boytsov. - But if he were able to cut-off the ring and corner such a fighter, his power would still prevail. The guy hits almost as hard as Wilder, and with both hands. While he'll never get faster, his defense might improve if he starts fighter top-level guys. Well, it will either improve or he'll get destroyed, one or the other. I wouldn't write the guy off just yet.
It's impossible to accurately gauge a fighter's abilities when they've never fought anyone that's tested them. Chagaev looked like a beast when he was still fighting Boytsov-level opponents but his power rapidly dropped off at the upper levels of the sport. And that's one of the more tangible qualities. Boytsov's ring generalship at this point is irrelevant.
^ true dat, but I still believe in his potential. Same (even more so) for Wilder. (who is even more difficult to like / support.)
