    That's good enough for me.

As a Mundine fan, I'd rather his mandatory be Brahmer than Kessler. I see Mundine beating Brahmer, possibly late stoppage, whereas I think Mundine will have a tough time with Kessler again (although still put up a good fight, as he did the first time, which I though was up there as one of the better SMW fights of the last few years).

But I don't know Kessler will go the WBO route. He could very well take either the WBC or IBF, but based on ratings, I think WBA might be his (at least) *quickest* way back to the top (and let's face, if Calzaghe leaves, Kessler should be rated no. 1)... And everything that I've been reading from Brahmer and his promoter seems to inidcate an intention of getting (giving) that title to Brahmer (and the promoter) and perhaps having the freedom to hold that belt hostage (as has been done in Germany many a time in the past).

I'm picking Froch by Decision in this. Better competition over all and the style difference will favor Froch who appears longer by DECISION. Many are picking the KO but perhaps Inkin's tough enough to hang. Although I do see openings with Froch, I'm not sure Inkin can get em.

I've seen VERY LITTLE of Inkin but high guard, hooks, and upper's attack. A little movement and the jab from Froch will tell the tale, Inkin doent look fast or mobile enough to win that way. But again, I really havent seen much of him.

Glad this fight is happening, two undefeated's battling for the right to take the next step up:happy

Not happy with the Froch by decision pick that some people pick. I cannot understand it. Inkin is the better boxer with the chin problem. NO! Some argue...he has a good chin but is careless in unimportant, easy fights; he'll be up for it in this one. He won't get KD'ed...and certainly not KOed...But then, how can Froch win it?

As i said, I've seen little of Inkin but what i take of his style? Makes me favor Froch's style in this. Now if Inkin has a chin problem? i'm unaware of it. Inkin seems much more compact and less mobile.

Froch's jab, height, movement, and reach seem to me the key. He can utilize speed and win rounds. I expect Inkin to be ready, and therefore I didnt take the KO.

Yeah, few of us have seen much of Inkin and he has been surprising when I've seen him; he didn't seem that focussed or up for it, but many here assure me that he is bound to be, for this fight!:think

Focussed or not, Froch is going to test that chin because that's his best chance, though...

We need to think more about this fight.:good

Who should the winner go for? Their are some weak fighters with belts out there.

Froch's main asset is his chin, which is better than very good to excellent, his one-punch KO power punch, which is slightly harder than Berrio's but quite a bit less dangerous and his very long reach, which is superior to almost all his opponents. In addition, Froch has good refelxes. It is these physical qualities that he bases his game on, rather than technique, skill or strategy.

His defense is awful. His foot-work is bear-like and sloppy. He doesn't have a good jab, although, when he does jab, he does so powerfully, with a piston-like stroke. He keeps his left hand low, stalking his opponent moving forwards and backwards in fairly straight lines, balancing from one foot to another. For defence, he doesn't keep distance with his jab but keeps a tight right-hand guard. Froch loves to use his good uppercut, his strong right cross, his good left hook. When he attacks, he pounces! Froch doesn't believe in head-movement; not sure if he has it anyway. His gameplan is based on jumping his opponent, hitting him with some hard, accurate bodyshots and using his accurate hooks and right cross to stop him.

Inkin is a very good boxer, who does it all well. He should be able to beat Froch given his skill and technique, were it not for his questionable chin and lack of concentration (mental strength). If indeed these failings are due to the lack of suitable competition and if a focussed Inkin is much better, Froch should be in trouble. Unless Froch forces a stoppage, he shouldn't be able to get close to winning against Inkin, unless Inkin's chin is indeed less than very good. Even if he does have a less than very good chin, if he does fight a perfect fight, he should be able to win by 4-5 rounds, despite his less than perfect chin...but will his powers of concentration allow for that?

Inkin needs to take the initiative from the beginning, impose his own tactics and rhythm and frustrate Froch, by boxing.

The first think Inkin needs to do is defend and not let Froch plant his feet or take the initiative. To do this, he must move, move, move. Inkin's footwork is essential in this fight. He is best off moving in circles, particularly to the left, as Froch tends to move up and down. He also needs to train for speed, to counterpunch Froch and assault him from time to time, keeping Froch's respect and imposing his own gameplan on Froch, making Froch fight off the back-foot, which he is incapable of doing.

Inkin needs to beat Froch to the left hook, through some rights over the top, followed by left cross/hook, whilst at the same time ensuring good head movement to avoid Froch's hooks.

When Froch does decide to move forward to let his arms fly, Inkin needs to cut in to negate Froch's reach advantage and fight him on the inside, whilst moving to the right or left to avoid the uppercut, and counterpunching Froch as he does so. Froch is not a counterpuncher and he hates pressure, because his defence and footwork are poor, so Inkin should try to jump him with some quick flurries on the back of a quick jab and an attacking hook

Inkin needs to fight with a lot of confidence against Froch, if he is to win; he must puch Froch backwards from time to time; if Froch is allowed some room to breathe and get on his front foot, he is dangerous, despite the fact that he keeps his chin in the air while coming forward. Inkin needs to time that jab and hit Froch in the face, as he just stands there in front of him. After Inkin attacks, he must expect Froch to come back at him, so he must cut inside and to the left or right and counterpunch Froch, as I described above.

If Inkin fights with confidence, moving well all the time pushing Froch backwards, uses his jab to tag Froch all night and cutting in on a Froch attack, counterpunching and not letting himself be bullied, he can win despite his less than very good chin.

Of course, if this happens Froch will force the stoppage putting it all on the line. If Inkin is smart and confident, Froch should not have enough to force it, but try he will!

, on the basis of Inkin's less than very good chin and lack of concentration. If Inkin puts it all together nicely, though, his chin might not be a big enough disadvantage for Froch to take adanvatage, though.

How about you? Do you think Inkin can win if he is 100% concentrated and fights the perfect fight, even assuming his chin is less than very good?

I can see a late stoppage victory, too. For Braehmer.
The Aussie got knocked out by feather fisted German sprinter Sven Ottke, lost to Siaca who later was schooled by 41 year old Silvio Branco, went the full route with Nievas who was taught a lesson in boxing and then stopped by young supermiddle weight Sartison in his last fight, won a point decision against Australian based Arab Hamdan who had been totally outclassed by Mads Larsen in one of his previous fights.
Mundine is overrated.Yes,he showed a decent fight against Kessler, but that doesnt justify his high ranking.
Styles make fights.Mundine doesnt really have the right style to give Braehmer hell. The German will probably stop Mundine in the later rounds after the Aussi has absorbed enought punishment to be ready to go.

I remember seeing Froch in one of his early pro fights and then Haye a little later and hearing that they were the next big things in British boxing.

All I was thinking was 'what are their hands doing down there' and 'dont they do defence anymore'.

    Hasn't really stopped them.... yet!

If you haven't seen the whole Inkin v. Veit fight, here it is:

Inkin is very good, just like unitas said. Froch will have to stop him to beat him. Don't think Inkin's chin will hold 12 rounds, though. And he doesn't have the power to stop Froch, not even on accumulation.

If Inkin's chin does indeed hold up, I'm sure he wins. Bute v. Inkin would be a hell of a fight!
