Round 9

Beranza flops on top of Bakhtin again and the referee splits them, warning Beranza for leading with his head. HARD left hook by Bakhtin, taken mostly on the gloves of Beranza. Bakhtin shivers his way free of a Beranza blanket-toss and throws some stiff jabs while trying to back off. They exchange and careen off each other like bumper cars with their arms slamming together. Bakhtin does an accidental cartwheel while missing a right uppercut. An accidental cartwheel. Bakhtin is still keeping his hands low on the outside and thrusting out jabs with a pained, tired expression. Bakhtin wants this to have been a 6 or 8 rounder. Beranza is sweeping with hooks and missing but constantly coming forward. Clubbing 1-2 by Beranza lands on the back of the ducking Bakhtin. Tie-up. Bakhtin tries to hit Beranza with short shots but they're going wide as his arms noodle a bit. Beranza is still getting some rubs in, mostly to the body.

 

Round 10

Good left hook around the guard by Bakhtin. Beranza throws fulcrum shots to the body, just fluttering his hands in but not doing any damage. Bakhtin is committed to preserving at least a couple of feet between them, and throws some hard reaching left hooks to the body of his own. Beranza comes forward slugging low until close enough to flop. Bakhtin is shoving him away and trying to tee off before Beranza rinses and repeats. Jab and crooked-arm right from Bakhtin but lacking any sharpness now. Bakhtin ties up as Beranza comes in targeting his body. Extremely slow Beranza hook is ducked. Bakhtin tries to push him to the ropes but is whacked down low while leaning into him.
