i have always felt ruiz was dangerous even after losing to parker , basically his pressure and speed and straight hits is what always caught my attention. As for the parker fight i thought ruiz won , but i dont mind that parker got the nod , it was a close fight

Now Wilder has stepped up in competition since the ortiz fight fighting ortiz and fury back to back
whether you thought wilder won or lost i dont care . The point im making is he has stepped up in competition recently .

Andy Ruiz is not like those opponents , he is younger than Ortiz and is faster than ortiz as well. A fighter in his prime.

Ruiz vs Wilder would be an all out shoot out and it would happen fast.

The way i see it Ruiz being fighter in his prime wilder would have a hard time trying to put him down .

Ruiz can hurt wilder to the body and stop him with his accumulation lighting shots . However i think wilder has to much heart and would bring the fight back on to ruiz

i can see wilder struggling with ruiz's pressure , and coming back and knocking ruiz down .

It would take alot of wilder right hands for him to stop ruiz . I DO NOT THINK Wilder can stop Ruiz with a single shot .

Wilder would have to put Ruiz down 4 times to be able to finish him off in fact i do not even know if wilder can finish off Ruiz

How many right hands will wilder have to throw to stop Ruiz from coming forward?

I actually think Ruiz is a shitty matchup for Wilder. He's got a concrete chin, and has fast, accurate combinations and he can get inside quickly. Personally I think Ruiz is one guy Wilder should avoid like the plague.

i favor wilder, i dont think andy can avoid his right hand long enough to inflict his own damage. i think andy has a much easier time vs fury, i think he handles him easily enough.

Fury?? Of all people? Hells no, Ruiz will be chasing him like a bus all night. Obviously Fury won't be able to scratch the paintwork on Ruiz, but Ruiz will have the lord's work cut out for him to land much on Fury. Ruiz needs a guy who will stand and fight. IMHO, of course.

I do agree with your style matchup argument , there's merit there. But I don't think there's such a thing as a concrete chin where Wilder is concerned, I think Andy would obviously be cautious as anyone in they're right mind would be and moving into Wilder is incredibly dangerous. I just see an even fight for about 4 or 5 rounds with Andy even ahead till he gets hit with one of those bunker buster bombs, and he doesn't have the movement to survive, he might counter like he did with Joshua but he wasn't really hurt against him, he had both his feet forward when he got hit and went down.

I can see wilder stopping Ruiz . But not in one shot. I think wilder will have to put Ruiz down multiple times to get him out of there

Wilder’s best bet would be to focus on getting the win and not the knockout, since I don’t see anyone knocking out Ruiz. If Wilder goes into the fight and tries to force a knockout against Ruiz he’ll pay for it like Joshua did. Several years ago I used to see Ruiz spar almost regularly and seen him get cracked hard plenty of times and even get faceplanted, but he always managed to get back up and fight.

Darnell Wilson hit Ruiz flush on the chin with one of the hardest right hands I’ve ever seen and dropped Ruiz like a sack of potatoes, but Ruiz got back up and kept sparring.

If Wilder makes Ruiz come to him and racks up the points I can see him getting the decision, but if he gets too wold with his power shots Ruiz will stand toe to toe and start countering Wilder, who like Joshua doesn’t tuck his chin enough or protect his body very well.

fury has no real defense other than creating distance, which andy will eliminate by pinning him against the ropes and letting loose while fury stretches his neck back to avoid being put down. that would be the story of the fight.

Fair comment, except I believe Ruiz will take Wilder's space (and therefore leverage) away from him and rattle him with combinations. You are right though in that while I can say a lot about Wilder, one thing that is above reproach is his power, the man can hit with the best of them.

Damn. I never thought of that to be honest that scenario. It's easy to evade single shots , but its difficult to evade fast blazing shots while against the ropes true .

    Nice

Wilder gets the job done in 5 rounds

I like Ruiz but wilder is all wrong for him and this is coming from a big AJ fan

One of the few (and weird) times that I'd favor Wilder, Wilder has shown he can move for 12, can carry power for 12, has the ability to wing from the outside and land little short shots with just as much power. Andy is slow footed and would have to chase and Wilder does know how to play keep away. Also, the catch and counter technique is foolhardy IMO vs. Wilder. It's irrelevant how good your chin is, Wilder has pretty much shown he likely has the ability to seriously hurt anyone.

Andy does things in the ring better than Wilder but let's be honest, Wilder has not been the most skillful guy in the ring against damn near anyone he's fought in the past 5 years.

You know about 3 or 4 years ago I watched a compilation of Wilder boxing clips showing his horrendous footwork, poor balance , and sub par defense and I stated he's gonna get ko'ed one day by a skilled fighter who's not afraid to step in and clock his wide open chin. Now here I am years later having to say so far I've been completely wrong,....but it ain't over yet.

Wilder has great legs and stamina, unlike Joshua. I picture it looking like Stiverne-Wilder 1, but closer. Ruiz is better than Stiverne, but Wilder is better than he was back then too.
