Not sure about that. You told me to take your word for it last week that Kameda was knocking out McDonnell after I said Jamie was winning close on points :think

Kameda won that close on my card very slightly!!!

Kameda knocked the senses out of him early, he should have pressed it and knocked McDonell out. :fire

For me, that belt holds no value.
Thats why i think this is a good fight but i am hoping for a solid undercard. (Walters and Verdejo are on HBO that night)

    Wilders resume is pretty limited:
    Stiverne
    Harrison
    Scott
    Price

Molina is likely the second or third best fighter Wilder has faced.

Stunningly, ellerbe also picked Kameda to beat the "british bum" McDonnell.

Scott and Stiverne are quality wins.

Let's say he destroys Takam/Chavez/Povetkin or Pulev in the near future, would that change your mind? :think

Actually, almost everyone in Kirk's league (Actually everyone) did pick Kameda.

    Everyone picked Kameda. :deal

If you were a betting man, you would have bet Kameda too.

Why even include Harrison's name? :huh

Even the old zombie version of Liakhovich counts for more than Harrison (who actually was far older)

Those are good wins but there are so few of them.
And yes, beating another top 10 heavyweight would boost his resume but it would still have only a handful of quality wins.
That quality translates into experience and it might bite him in the ass.
Im sure if Wilder had fought someone of Stivernes calibre a few times before, he would have acually stopped him.
Wilder had never boxed more than 4 rounds in his life and it definitely had its say in that fight.

Yeah I don't think anyone from the league won off a McDonell pick.

Well guys who are at the top anyhow.

He impressed the hell out of me for someone who has never gone past 4 rounds ever, to be able to box like that consistently for 12 despite never doing so before?

For him to take all those punches and for him to hurt a granite chinned Stiverne even in the later rounds?

    Damn, that's impressive stuff.

Not sure why people hate Wilder. He is one of the guys the sport needs.

Harrison did pull off another Prizefighter and he had slimmed down to 237.

I don't really know what Kirk's league is, but I responded to Ellerbe that McDonnell was no bum and it was a 50/50 fight. Feel free to go check. I think it was on one a Froch retirement thread or something.
