Thw whole point of protecting a fighter is to build a padded record to get a title shot which is what he achieved. Who has Charr fought with the exception of Vitali that was a serious contender? Answer nobody. Charr's best win was probably his last fight against Johnson who has always been a gate keeper level fighter and is so passive in the ring he's basically Audley Harrison with a decent chin and even he they only fought him when it was clear he was past his best and coming off back to back losses. Charr is either being protected from being exposed in the hope he'll get lucky again and somehow get another title shot or he is being mismanaged. The latter is less likely as he has already had 1 undeserved title shot. Recently there have been some good heavyweight fights between contenders. No reason why Charr couldn't have fought someone better like Chisora who is always willing to face anyone. Charr is being protected in the hope of cashing out again in a title shot or a big draw like Haye. We won't see Charr face a decent contender unless good money is on the line.
The Wilder threads are getting put of hand here. Unfortunately it will take at least another half a year before he fights a good heavy with punching power. Until then we'll get Haye like 100-0, 100KO fantasy matches, as already mentioned. And a couple of trolls boasting his 31-0-0-0-0-0, 62KO record
