    Slapping to a decision over Ammann wasn't going to be instructive either way regarding that.

    Either he was ruined by Kovalev and/or naturally can't take even a meager cruiser's punch, or he wasn't and/or can. That was all that was going to be revealed to us...and nobody is going to lose sleep over not having that piece of information. If he didn't get stopped or at least hurt by Ammann, nothing useful was going to be learned.
