You should amend the thread title and delete the word 'World' because it implies that Derry is fighting for a meaningful title
There aren't any meaningful titles anymore though Colin so it doesn't matter much. At least he's put IBO in there. I'd rather Derry went after the British title rather than some garbage like this but it'll probably be an easier fight for him.
Bogus title. Much rather he faces off with solid domestic competition than some bogus world title fight. The WBU was a joke and now this.
Well, some people rate the IBO as a genuine 'world' title and is much more worthy than a British title... Anyway, as I've already said in another thread, good luck Derry :good
Good luck Derry. Even if people deride the title, it is the fighter that makes the title and that's how we should judge him, not on the title.
IBO title could become more relevant. Wlad and Pascal have IBO titles, Hatton used to have one when he was the top guy in the division, but this is an example of why they don't really have any more credibility that the other stupid titles. No disrespect to Derry, who's a good domestic level fighter, but handing him a "world" title is absurd.
