The crazy thing is, Tank actually has got talent. He looks strong, powerful and is a crafty counter puncher. If he was actually willing to fight the best he'd have a chance to achieve greatness.
I actually think that Tank is more skilled than Haney. Tank will force Haney to make a mistake at some point and he will land a brutal power shot that will put Devin in the dirt.
Haney is hard to beat when he boxes the whole fight. Tank is the best at setting traps and running his opponent into something. JoJo had some good success landing shots on Haney, that Tank would hurt or KO Haney! Tank has the hand and feet speed that will cause problems. I still favor Tank over Haney!
Haney is too big and too good. I think that he Davis at arms length the entire fight. I don't think that Davis would be able to overcome those disadvantages
Yup... Plus Haney's a big dude - the longer this doesn't happen, the less possible it becomes... Haney's got the frame to go up another division (and who knows, cutting less might actually make him better, it's happened before where trying to weight bully too hard stops a fighter producing their best). Tank's an unrepentant hypejob with no interest in taking the big fights now or ever in future... Maybe if he takes a loss he'll finally man up, but even then I doubt it.
Or he might get humiliated... Weirdly, refusing to prove it can get you a better reputation than fighting the best you can get your hands on and taking an occasional loss. Weird thing, boxing.
Most of this footage is not tank sparring haney. So be careful watching this video because anyone could draw a wrong conclusion. This video needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
I seriously hope Tank and his team find the courage to actually face Haney. Personally I think Haney most likely outboxes Tank silly but there's always a chance of Tank dropping Haney badly and likely stopping him while behind on points. This is another big potential fight that they cannot afford to let it go to waste, especially while they're both still in their prime.
Tank loses every second of every round...but lands a crushing right hand on Haney's unstable chin late in the fight and wins by KO. Haney has been able to mostly avoid big punches through his excellent defence and footwork. But Linares revealed his Achilles heel, or rather Achilles Chin.
Skill wise it is very close, but Haney has a point scoring offense and Tank seems to be looking for KO's and doesn't care too much about activity, Tank is a very slow starter, you could say he is downloading data or setting traps but that seems too dangerous if the fight goes to the cards. I think Haney takes the 1st 2 or 3 rounds easily and then 4-6 will be a bit closer. If Tank is down 5 rounds at half way then its pretty easy for Haney to win and thats how I see it. Tank can only win by corruption on the cards unless he gets multiple KD's. So I give Tank a decent punchers chance but only a punchers chance and I am a big fan of his. Tank is one of my favourite fighters because of his killer instinct but I just want him to throw more punches. Even against LSC it was close before the KO, that was all to do with activity Haney is MUCH MUCH better than LSC I just dont think Haneys chin is that bad and he does have balls IMO Tank might just be like Canelo and gain both power and stamina moving up though I suppose
