I was wondering why his two different mandatories aren't facing him but I guess they can fight each other. Kinda odd though, would have Linares fight Garcia and Fortuna fight Haney. Don't mind either way ultimately.

Good to know Linares hasn’t retired. Will we see any of the young guns fight each other in 21 or will it be like WW where the top guys talk about fighting each other but it never happens. If Teo gets out of LW without fighting Garcia and Haney, it won’t be by accident.

The social media masturbation is just that. Haney won't fight Tank won't fight Teo won't fight (omg the cringe) Kingry. They will all just beat up Linares and Leo Santa Cruz and call themselves GOAT and demand 20mil per fight..

Could be interesting, if Linares has something left. Haney is not known for big KO power.

Good fight and easily the best fighter Haney has been in with. Haney should be able to get passed Linares but it's a good scalp regardless

Me too and I look forward to the same guys who said Linares was over the hill, a few years ago, go crazy when Haney beats a former champ. Linares has been KOd a couple times (Loma and at 140) and his skin ain’t getting any better. His face will look like lasagna by the second round and Haney should be able to stop him on cuts. Still he’s a good offensive fighter and decent size LW. Not a bad fight but I want to see the top young guys fight each other this year. Tank Haney looks interesting and I have to give Haney respect for at least fighting a true LW. Unlike Tank who seems afraid to fight a real LW even though he likes to call himself champ.

Good test for Haney and it would be his best win. Linares isn't prime anymre but he's a still a good win for the upcoming Haney.

Linares is faded but Haney needs a good performance and this would be a credible win for him on the world stage.

Haney has no power. He's not stopping Linares. Guaranteed snoozer.

That's a good fight if it happens. Wondering if Mickey Bey is training him. The rumor now is Mayweather Jr. suppose to be taking over as Haney new full time coach.

I think a lot of the boxers and promoters know that Haney skill wise is the hardest fight for their fighters. There’s a reason that Garcia, Teo and Tank have all mentioned each other but rarely mention Haney.

To me this makes Garcia look bad, guy literally just fought to become mandatory and is now straight avoiding him. Whenever the 4 kings scenario was mentioned Garcia was first to mention he will fight Tank and Teo can fight Haney.

Any other fighter avoiding a title fight then people would be calling them out.

    Interesting

Haney is probably the least dangerous to Linares of the guys in the mix at 135 - doesn't carry the power to cut/KO him and doesn't apply the type of pressure that tends to wear Linares down.

Even though he's a couple years out of his prime by now, if Jorge comes in sharp and in shape, this won't be an easy night for Haney.
