I remember Cotto was supposed to beat the **** out of Margarito for all the same reasons Cintron is supposed too. Infact we had a guy puts a couple of gifs of Margarito not taking punches well. I guess the lot of you like the way crow tasted.
I helped train Kermit for his first 25 fights, and was his strength and conditioning coach. As a person he is a piece of ****, and there probably isn't anyone that hates him more than I do, but that being said... styles make fights. As much as I would like to pick against him, and would enjoy seeing him lose I don't think it happens. Cotto is a good fighter. No doubt. He is just in the unfortunate position that he is to big to make 140 comfortably, and far to small to compete with career welterweights. Judah, Quintana, and Mosely are not career welterweights, and both are on the slide. The first time Cotto fought a real WW he got stopped. Hispunches do not have the same affect on these bigger guys, and stopping Judah is no great feat. Baldomir almost ko'd Judah, and he is by no means a puncher. Kermit is a better boxer then Margarito, but not a better fighter. Cotto doesn't have the physical tools to pressure Kermit the way Margarito did. Kermit will box from range behind his jab, and he will eventually land a str8 right, or and uppercut, and Cotto goes to sleep. As much as I hate to say it... Kermit may stop Cotto sooner then Margarito did. Before you all say I am crazy... just remember as I said earlier. Styles make fights. Cotto beats Quintana, who beats Williams, who beats Margarito, who beats Cotto.
Cotto needs to come back fighting legit opposition. Cintron would give him a good fight and it would be an all Puerto Rican battle !!
the ones i remember that have made noise are Cotto vs Quintana Camacho vs Rosario and Laporte vs Gomez
THats very understandble but you got good nights and you have bad ones. Didnt cintron have a ****ed up hand?
your right they should let this fight build up. Cotto needs a baldomir or a David estrada type guy first. To see were the confidence is at
