If you traded with Tiger you might be transacting with the Grim Reapers apprentice. Tiger rarely let them get away. but Tiger did employ something of astraight-line approach to his stalking, and i feel that Carlos can Matador him much in the manner he did Bad Bennie Briscoe, Carlos has no qualms about fighting a retreating campaign, Long Punches particularly that long right hand, Leand back from those Tigers Claws, Move off to the side and repeat the prescription, Carlos has that versatility to Hunt the Tiger by means of Tatical retreat, drawing Tiger into the Hidden pits and Traps that Carlos was fond of setting over the 15 round terrain.

Carlos rarely showed us his full hand, he luxuriated in the 15 round distence, and wound his opponents in gradually, An Early-Mid thirties Monzon twice turned back the challange of that Vicious Columbian firebrand Rodrigo Valdez, i feel that the 27-28 year old Carlos has that hidden 5th Gear ready to engage for one such as the Tiger, with a trouch of Afterburner if necessary, tiger is always dangerous, even when he is in carlos sights and Carlos is firing on full Auto, but ultimately i feel Carlos comes out on top in this Hunt, Albeit with a few clawmarks and Scar(e)s to remember this Tiger by, Safari so Good for Carlos ! Carlos on Points.

Carlos Monzon rose to and surpassed the level of whatever opponent he was up against...I think he would have done what was necessary to outpoint Dick Tiger over the 15 round limit..the limit he was masterful at navigating..the old 15 round title limit was was ideal for seperaring the men from the boys.

Ring smarts were one of Monzon's aces in the hole..ring generalship he was a master at..and you can bet he wouldn't have slugged it out on the inside with Tiger.
