Could have gone either way I feel. Not a robbery eventhough that 118-109 was just straight ******ed. I thought Trout did enough to win but I gotta watch the fight again. Many early rounds were just too damn difficult to score from just one view.
I had to vote no he didn't get robbed. I had Trout winning 7-5, but it was a close fight. It wasn't a robbery that Canelo won but it was like a WWE match. It was a forgone conclusion who was going to win and the scorecards more than proved that.
I had it the exact score as the filipino judge. Even though Trout came back well in the knockdown round, I gave it 10-8 to Canelo. Canelo only needed two more points to get to my score. There were many close rounds. Sadly, it was one horrible judge who make this seem almost a robbery. I think that's what people are focusing on. Either way, even the SHO broadcasters chose Canelo in the end. I wasn't that impressed by Canelo but it's hard to look good against Trout. Trout just didn't land anything meaningful in my eyes.
no robbery in a fight this close. one guy was busier and pressed the fight, the other landed better punches and had better defense. the big issue here though it the wide score cards. 118-109, is bull****. even 116-111 as well. there were times, alvarez did nothing and even ran in the last rd when he knew he had the fight. basically, it was alvarez's fight to lose, even before the match started.
Bingo but you cant get upset it was a toss up and i can see a rematch if Trout can get back to winning.
