i'mma have to rewatch this again becaue from what i recall this fight wasn't close....they're were some close rounds, but it wasn't a close fight John has great footwork and lateral movement so it made it hard for JMM to catch his rhythm in order to counter him properly, but he had it down by the end of the 3rd round if i recall, and when he did get it down, John had no answer for Marquez's left hook or straight right but like i said, i'll go back and rewatch it to make sure, but i dont remember it being close at all, competitive yes, but not close
whatever you want tito thats your thinking i respect it. now go back to that idiot 2 cent or something and whoop him... get back at me when you made that fool disappear.
if that fight was held in america then it is still hard to say. this fight was like pac-jmm 2 except that one dominated successive rounds and the other followed. look at this review at other site. The first third of the fight contained four extremely close rounds. John started to assert himself as the boxer while Marquez repeatedly tried to slash into John's guard with heavy punches. John also landed his share of telling blows throughout these rounds and seemed to be the quicker of the two fighters. With the start of round five, Marquez appeared to land the heavier punches as John became less active in the bout. This trend continued into round ten, where Marquez was deducted a point for repeated low blows against John. In round eleven, John appeared to pick up the tempo. This round led to another point deduction against Marquez which sealed a 10-8 round for John. As the bout came to a close in round twelve, it was clear John was the fresher of the two fighters. The twelfth was a close round, but a round won by John. The only western journalist to attend the bout, Scott Mallon of Ring Magazine and The Sweet Science, scored the bout in favor of John. His report and those of the Asian journalists in attendance suggested the bout was a just decision. However, some outside of Asia who later viewed the bout, especially those who watched the fight without audio commentary, seemed to favor Marquez. At the very least, the bout seemed closer than the scores suggest. mind you, judges on that fight was an american, japanese and maybe indonesian sounding judge. but of course these guys being in indonesia could be bribed. i guess with this fight being close, there sympathy went to the hometown boy.
So, everytime JMM loses by a decision, it's robbed or wrong judgement. HOw about his wins by decision, will that mean that those are also robbery and wrong judgement by the JUDGES? :hat
wtf are you on about,we're discussing the john fight only here, read the thread title. :smoke oh & it was a ht decision:hat
the first time i scored it i had it 115-111 for John but recently i rewatched it with slow motion and had it 113-113. There are alot of close rounds. Wether you think John won or lost you have to give him for giving such a tough fight to one of the best fighters of a generation in his absolute prime.
I had something similar to that Geer..I think I had it 8-4 for Marquez and had him 114-112 up after the deductions. As said before not the worst robbery you will ever see, maybe not even a robbery but the wrong man got the nod that night I feel.
this fight is really difficult to score..why?it is because the camera angle is bad...I am sure the judges saw it clearly from the ring side...as for me i scored draw
bro, It's a good quesiton but the answer does not matter. EVEN if he had a win over norwood and chris john. his resume is still way below pac... cheers! silvermags
