No, Mayweather just got sloppy at times because he was infautated with knocking Cotto out for whatever reason, he even complained to Roger that mother****er is running , but Floyd adjusted cooled down and continued to dominate

It was a great fight and I loved just about every minute of it. It IS rare that there is a good clean fight with two elite fighters that is competitive and entertaining.

This. Rewatched it in full last night and there were virtually no lulls. Credit to Cotto for never giving up and May for going for the ko from the opening bell

Yes. If my memory serves me correctly, for periods of rounds 6 and 8. Cotto did very well that night.

yes, he did. . . Not nearly enough to win the requisite amount of rounds to win a fight, but he certainly outboxed floyd for periods of the fight.

in fact, i thought he did better in the center of hte ring with floyd, than when he tried to tee off on floyd against the ropes - that's when floyd landed his most hurtful shots.

I think you can make a better case for Cotto winning the fight, than you can for Bradley. .

Which is next to nothing. . . But, if you had to put your "robbery specs" on, you could more easily justify Cotto winning.

Yeah he did, too bad he couldn't keep it up. He had a brilliant 30 seconds or so in the 5th round when he boxed in the center and was able to outjab him and land a couple combos.

Which was the only way I felt he could win, actually :smoke

Cotto is an excellent boxer but I think what we saw was more the lack of movement from Mayweather than what we are used to. Mayweather isn't a guy who moves a ton but he has subtle movements with his feet that get him in and out of range. We didn't see that and he spent a lot of time on the ropes.

According to the Colonal the only times Cotto would hit Mayweather, was when Mayweather let himself be hit.

According to Colonel the only time May was hit was when Uncle Rog hit him with a splash of cold water in between rounds.

    Disgraceful.

Think it was round 6 where he completely dominated the round...Lampley was getting "wet" with excitement saying how he hadn't seen Floyd loose a round clearer than that ever...

It was either Floyd was taking a break or he adapted because from then on (questionably the 8th that i gave to Cotto)..he dominated
