I don't believe any of that "I fought like that for the fans" in regards to Mayweather against Cotto & Maidana.

Not just him actually, other fighters, who lost fights, sometimes have claimed "I got caught up and brawled when I should have boxed". It's often times because the other fighter didn't really give them a choice.

Why do you care? You claim to hate him. You claimed you wouldn't even watch the fight.

    Jesus man.

Did this really require its own thread?

Couldn't you have just made a post in one of your many Mayweather hating threads?

Ah yes...Mr. "I need a hair cut" jumps in quickly to defend his hero...

Bottomline, Maidana kicked Floyds ass... If Floyd could shut Maidana out he would have...But his ego is too big to admit Maidana gave him hell.

No...Maidana just put it on his ass....

Floyd needed to be more offensive especially when he wasn't on the ropes...he was way to cautious about Maidana countering him...Guess he didn't want to risk getting ktfo which is fair enough lol.

Yes Mayweather at times definitely chose to fight toe to toe. Its not like Maidana was on his toes moving laterally and cutting Floyd off. There were many types when Floyd backed himself onto the ropes. He's very comfortable, rolling and trying to cathc and shoot of the ropes, thougn I do believe that Maidana's awakwardness, and dirty/cheating fighting made him harder to counter then Floyd anticipated.

People enjoyed the Cotto fight, and said "oh Floyd's are gone, he has to fight like that now." Then he dances like a gazelle around Guererrero and Canelo proving his legs are fine, and people complain that the fights were boring. Fickle ****s can't have it both ways

Yes, I think he even said he was going to do something like that before the fight. It didn't work out as well as he had hoped and planned though.
