Khan would of been a very bad style for his too fast and rangy he should of fought him instead of maidana thoughts?
Judah, Alexander, Paulie, Kotelnik. All high level boxers...all got bumrushed in pretty much uncompetative fights. Floyd is infinitely a better boxer...but there is always a weakness. People were intriguied by Khan Floyd for stylistic reasons from the day Khan schooled Paulie & Kotelnik. Really Khan is a pure boxers nightmare. Look how much more skilled & expieranced Kindelan looks compared to Khan in amatuers..but still Khan managed to hold his own with his pitter patter bumrushes. 147 Khan wouldn't manage against Floyd...Has become too static with too low a work rate.
No Khan hasn't beaten a ranked opponent in years. Also Khan is the ducker, especially when Brook is mentioned.
They weren't high level. Alexander lost to Porter, and got gifts against Matthysse and Kotelnik. Who has Kotelnik beaten? Malignaggi lost every time he stepped up.
I can tell you don't know much about boxing alt because he's not a bad styles match up for PBF at all. Khan's a boxer puncher with speed that's it and even then he's not faster than PBF. PBF's whole defense is set up to beat orthodox boxer puncher's like Khan because they throw punches from predictable angels which PBF can easily see, defend and counter against. PBF would figured Khan out early and chopped him up.
No. I just don't understand why he would. Khan is a tough match-up for anyone - unless they can adjust to his speed. One of Floyd's best abilities is adjusting to whatever's in front of him. Speed aside, Khan has nothing for Floyd and that would become apparent in the second half of the fight. Khan wouldn't even have his early success because Floyd would be moving, and watching. Amir might win the first round or two but he wouldn't inflict much damage. After that, he'd be picked off. Floyd is also infinitely superior on the inside. Onve he established that, Khan might be a little less agressive. Either way, it's not much of a contest.
The reality is that neither Brook or Khan need each other. Brook is set to really step up to top level and Khan in reality is on the downside. He is not active enough any longer and with his domestic issues his head will be a total mess.
Because Maidana was more deserving coming off a big win and Khan was coming off a loss and a bad performance.
A better question is why would you want him to take an easy fight? I personally would've preferred he fought both Maidana and Khan but khan doesn't make or break him. Khan does nothing for him really. Two poor options, if you ask me.
Exactly. At that moment, Maidana was more deserving. If he fought khan they would've said he chose the easier option anyway.
Don't you notice the trend with Floyd Its always the guys you fan fanatics claim would be easy that he avoided 1 Margarito ,,, Had just demolished Cotto fans were screaming for Floyd to fight him neither Floyd nor Oscar wanted any part of him lol 2 Khan ... A poll was held on who the fans wanted Floyd to fight next Khan won hands down Floyd avoided him Same today Khan wins another poll but no luck What is it about Khan they seem to avoid him? I wont mention how he avoided Pac nan lol
