Puhleeeeeez! Everybody gave Frampton credit and even made him the favorite in the rematch. Is it too much to ask that a conspiracy theory not be made of it? Santa Cruz turned boxer and caught Frampton unready for it. Can't you hold your water til' the rematch?

Don't think Frampton "threw" the fight. Appears to have too much pride. He just got beat by an equally talented fighter who had a better game plan and used his own "strengths" better.

Look, firstly it was a totally different scenario for Frampton this time around. He was the hungry, bloodthirsty fighter that was chasing his dream and had nothing to lose by going for broke against a very worthy Champion in Leo SC. SC was now the one out for revenge and fought a smart fight by boxing at range for the most part. Throwing a fight at this level isn't what happened here from my point of view. Why Frampton failed to let his hands go more often is likely due to the control of range that Santa Cruz maintained the whole fight long, not to mention that he packs a stinging punch that stops a lot of fighters from charging in on him all gung ho like.

He used his height and didn't stalk as much. Frampton figured he'd come right at him and that threw him off.

The damage is done, dropping a belt with a mandatory fight will follow him forever.

Unlikely. In this fight it looked like he believed in his power too much and kept looking for the KO that never came, was getting beat by Leo's jabs and feints. Leo adjusted from their first match, Frampton did not. He was expecting a repeat of their first match and didn't get that and never made any adjusts during this fight. Leo just came with a better gameplan and executed well.

You do know there is an actual Bilderberg Group right? That's not the figment of some conspiracy theorists imagination, it seems like a fine upstanding Libertarian like you would despise the idea of a group of big government elites getting together to plan out which country's natural resources are ripe for the stealing.

If you think that there's no match fixing that goes on in this dirty ass sport, then there's no hope for you, but who am I kidding you think Haymon is a great guy, you're a lost cause already, keep drinking the Kool Aid my Irish friend. While the rest of us actually exist in the real world where people are pieces of ****.

Frampton always wanted the third fight to be in Belfast - been on record many, many times saying this. So it stands to reason he would throw the fight and in doing so lose the belt and his single biggest bargaining chip to tempt LSC to come this side of the pond for the third fight. And when I say 'stands to reason' I mean 'makes no sense at all and is a huge pile of male cow excrement'.

This is one of the few sports where this type of corruption unfortunately exists. It's been that way since the beginning of the sport but the fixing element has died down a lot (supposedly) once the Mafia was basically pushed out of the sport.

If Leo doesn't grant him a trilogy than I think it's safe to assume the fight wasn't fixed. I couldn't imagine high level fighters of this ilk throwing away matches, but as someone mentioned, neither man would stand to make more against anyone else than facing off with each other for a third time in Belfast.

I'm going to assume it was a fair fight and I was very unimpressed with Carl. He's supposed to be a slick, technical boxer and he should've been able to adjust to the fact that Leo was sitting back instead of being the aggressor.

Kudos to Leo for staying disciplined all 12 rounds and not going on full attack mode vs Frampton. It was so unusual to watch a skilled boxer like Frampton basically push forward and try to be the aggressor. I thought after a couple rounds he'd adjust, sit back himself and let Leo come to him.

And what was their actual role in this particular fight?

And don't talk to me about big government. I'm an Anarcho-Capitalist

A small group of people get together every day to decide how your life is run. Its called government and they meet live on TV, and no one seems to care.

In fact I wrote a blog a couple of years ago on how my voluntaryist views link together with conspiracy theorists. Enjoy!
