Speaking of youtube, someone needs to do me a favour and put a Johnny Nelson fight on there - ANY Johnny Nelson fight (apart from Petkovic, as that's the only one I've actually seen).

I think I cleared that with his domestic clearance...

This is a simple question 'Did Hatton duck Witter?' and the answer is very simply YES. Witter was there and was his best test during Hatton's WBU shite, that is it.

This nothing to do with who would win or who was better bla bla bla...

The fact of the matter is that the two best light welters in britain, both respected and had mixed in good stead, did not fight because one of them did not want it - HATTON!

Of course Hatton ducked him.......Witter was far too dangerous a fight and Frank Warren was never into taking risks with his cash cows.

Jesus christ of course he ****in ducked him. He DEFINATLY ducked Junior Witter...his excuses for doing so changed year by year.

Only a hardcore hatton cocksucker would deny it, and theres plenty of them knocking about

:deal. Witter was WBC champ and even came on telly offering to fight hatton for FREE!!! meaning Ricky can keep all the money.

And he STILL didnt want to kno. Hatton ducked him and thats all there is to it

i think he did duck him but i dont think he needed to. he would have knocked him out. when i watched witter v bradley i thought hatton would have delt with both comfortably. at the time when witter was calling hatton out hatton was well on his way to the top an didn't need a risky domestic fight.

Is it true that after Hatton kept saying he didn't wanna give Witter a payday Witter offered to take a huge cut in his pay to fight Hatton? Something like Witter only gets enough to cover his expenses and Hatton gets to keep the rest?

Aren't there more important things to discuss...like Hatton's glass chin.

Definitely. There aren't enough chin checkers on this forum.

Yea I'd say he avoided fighting him for whatever reason.

    Duck him?

It's hard to label a fighter a ducker who got in there with two prime ATG's and a HOFer.

I'm not usually a fan of chin checking but getting dumped on his arse by a bodybulider means things have got out of hand. Very sadly.

I'd like to see Ricky knock things on the head for a while get in reasonable shape and go take that fruit machine back with extreme force.

probably the main reason he ducked Junior like the biscuit-ersed bully he is.
Hatton's excuses kept changing to suit the times, but the bottom line remained the same....he didn't want any part of Witter. Witter's slashing hooks would've probably caught him, torn him up and sparked him. And don't talk to us about Pac, PBF....risk v reward is what it was all about.

    The excuses became positively embarrasing.
'He hasn't got a belt' (this excuse didn't remain valid very long)
'He wasn't nice to me as Sports Personality Awards'
'He doesn't have any fans' (and Smith, Vilches, Pedersen etc etc had loads, right?)
    'He's not ranked high enough'
