I don’t recall Holmes’ legs going at any point, although I could be wrong, haven’t watched it in a while.

I recall he had Larry Holmes throwing up a lot right at the end of the final round.

Yes he did holmes threw up right after the last round in the ring, and he had bad diarrhea for days after Holyfield beat his flabby body.

I have the PPV, haven’t seen it in a while so I don’t remember. I’d assume he did tho as that was a Prime Holyfield.

In the 3rd round Holyfield definitely buzzed Holmes with a right hand and slightly wobbled him.

But to Holmes's credit he still had his wits about him and recovered quickly.

5:34 into the video for reference.

9:18 Holyfield felt sorry for Holmes.. always pulling punches.. but , yes, old man showed a hell of a chin earlier.. for the whole fight really.

No good deed goes unpunished, Evander.

Thanks for the video. I haven't watched any Holyfield fight(s) for a long time.

    Can't remember him doing so.
This and the Foreman fight did Holyfield no favours, his rep took a dive.

This fight is on my list. Don't hurt me. I will watch it and see what I see.

I don't see Evander doing it though. Primarily cause he doesn't hit that hard even though he is fast as hell

As far as the throwing up is concerned, I think that had more to do with the high temperature mentioned by the commentators, combined with the hard pace at Holmes’ age rather than Holyfield hurting Larry.

Indeed, probably unnecessarily. Holmes was skilled and so experienced, Foreman was so robust, strong and powerful. He probably copped pretty much the best of the comeback versions too. Both of these guys may have been a handful for other top heavyweights. Obviously Tyson went thru Holmes but he was well suited in that one, asset wise. Other good fighters would have worked up a fair sweat i think. He fought them almost B2B.

Yep, old George had a solid set of whiskers.
And by that point old Larry had so much experience, he probably knew by the half way point he wasn't going to beat Holyfield but he wasn't gonna get kd either.

Absolutely on all counts mate. Foreman with his big power would have been hoping until the end........like he did with Moorer.
