I heard a rumour that a fighter who wore dentures asked his corner man to switch his false teeth for a mouth piece before the start of the fight, at the start of the second round the corner man put the dentures in and the fighter went out thinking he was wearing a mouthpiece, gets hit and guess what? a tooth breaks off his false teeth!

Louis drove Braddock's teeth into his mouthpiece.

That is pure evil :dead Ron Lyle sent Foreman to the dentists as well - I'm sure it was - can't remember how it was described :huh something like one of his teeth being smashed into his gum?? Sounded messy anyway:!: Also think Lee Savolds corner pulled him out against Marciano coz his teeth had been smashed into his gums?? Or something like that - pretty grim really

Liston apparently knocked out seven of Wayne Bethea's teeth in his first round TKO win.

Bethea got obliterated for sure. Not a good idea to stand in front of Liston.

I always heard he sheared Layne's teeth off at the nubs...the fight was damaging to Layne's psyche, 1st to be KO'd cold and then the teeth

A natural heavyweight, unlike Floyd, from the get-go, and not intimidated at all. :D Frazier would make Liston soil his trunks. :bart
