Uhh no dope. The choice was between a 3 fight contract with Bob Arum, or a fight with Oscar De La Hoya.

Arum said to Floyd he couldnt get Oscar for 20 mil, and that if Floyd took the fight with Margacheato, h'ed have to take a 3 fight deal, including fights with Hatton and Cotto of which he would have made something like 7 mil for each.

Considering Floyd made 40 mil fighting both Hatton and Oscar, and beat Oscar for his 6th title in 5 weight classes, a superior fighter to that of Margarito and Cotto.

Which was the wiser choice. Not hard to see.

This has been gone over constantly. Its really sad that posters still buy into Arums bull**** even when its been disproven constantly. Cant teach intelligence though.

Tony was just trying to get a payday. Fighters are all the time calling out guys who they have no chance of beating just to try and get a lucrative match ie. James Toney calling out the Klits and being 41 yrs old.

No Tony Margarito NEVER EVER used any doctored wraps. This is now the stock excuse for the daisy duck nuthuggers etc. Truth is Floyd Mayweather is scared shitless of Tony Margarito.
Actually Daisy lost money by fighting Baldomir & ducking Margarito but he was smart to do so. Tony woullda knocked his chicken ass out cold & taken his 0:happy:happy

See all the Floyd fans repeating floyds excuses....."I made more money here" "he have losses"

No point debating with these mindless sheep.

Margacheato was trash, and his slow ass wouldn't have laid a glove on Mayweather.

Stop talking out of your ass, Margarito back then wasn't known at all, no way it would have "smashed" Floyd/Baldo's numbers.

As you can see not one of these pathetic degenerates can actually debate the fact that Oscar was a better fighter then Margarito nor the fact that Floyd made more money.
