why because Hatton has some extensive background in a fighting style that Floyd doesn't??? atsch A bar fight between these two would start with them looking at eachother and end with Floyd pouring a pint of guiness on Ricky's life-less body
before the fight did floyd mayweather say he was going to knock him out with the check hook. if he did point me to the source i gotta see it
schooling is a bit harsh. but he defo showed him a thing or 2. tecnicaly mayweather is the better boxer so he just out classed him. i think thats a better description.
I agree with this. Mayweather was clearly superior and won well, but it was too competitive to really be called a "schooling". Mayweather-Corrales or mayweather-gatti fit that description better.
i think if mayweather wasn't allowed to duck below waist level and keep turning his back which he should have had points taken for, was warned about using elbows and pushing his gloves into his face during a clinch, and without a biased ref, and the unfair point deduction for a punch that didn't even land, it would have been a MUCH closer fight. but i think pbf would still take it.
No in the interview after the fight he said he saw that hole and was trying to get that Check hook in, and you can see him throw it a few times prior to landing the knockout shot.
yea mayweather spotting that hatton was jumping in with his shots , early in the fight cause mayweather tried the check hook as early as the second round i think
yeah in a sense he did because he beat hatton at his own game and did what hatton usually does which is break down the body and work inside
Of course he was schooled. He was given a boxing lesson on that night. He was schooled so bad that he fired his friend and long time trainer and hired Mayweather's father in order to learn to fight like Mayweather(apparently he was knocked senseless and doesn't remember the lesson that Jr. taught him in the ring that night)
