No of the heavyweights, Johnson , Holmes,Louis, and Lewis, all were better.

What's up with all this Tyson fanatic stuff lately? No, he didn't have the greatest uppercut ever. Look at what McVey listed above.

In what sense? Tyson had more power than Holmes and Johnson.

Tyson was amazing, his body mechanics and punch technique were brilliant, his hand speed was awesome.

Tysons combo is a signature look really. Body then head looks great on highlights.
For single shots, Zab's was a good one, Froch in he early days. Lewis nearly took grant to the moon with his.
Dillian Whyte was capable of making anyones uppercut look like a show stopper.

You'll have wait till he fought 40-50 fighters first, you are aware Tyson is a legend and global superstar right?

Itauma hasn't even been a great fighter for a short time and being a creep doesn't mean people can't admire his fighting prowess, Ray Robinson beat his wife as did Jake Lamotta, Duran ran about with criminals as a youth in Panama and it wasn't dirty tactics that won Tyson his fights, he was clearly better than everyone he beat by some margin.

I don't preclude anything I judge each fighter on his talent. but I don't admire people like Tyson,he isn't a legend to me.
Itauma lives about 12 miles from me,he has huge potential but hasn't been tested yet, hopefully the Hrgovic fight will tell us more,I don't see how he figures into this thread.
Tyson bit Holyfield's ears twice, one of the most heinous fouls ever committed in a ring , and tried to break Botha's arm,he was a dirty fighter.

His fluidity and shot selection when he was transitioning between uppercuts, hooks, and body shots was unreal. He had great uppercuts from both hands, too. What a great fighter.

Yeah but that doesn't detract from Tyson's wins, the main thing that detracts from Tyson's greatness was the fact that he lost the first fight to Holy and was losing the second fight before the bite, Holy was a great fighter but was roided up.

Sugar Ray Leonard called that Tyson right hook to the body, uppercut to the head combo as something similar to Kid Gavilan's bolo punch. Trainers like Angelo Dundee were amazed that a heavyweight could land that combo. Then we started seeing guys like Bert Cooper, Tommy Morrison and even Lennox Lewis implement it in their repertoire.

Shameless plug but I edited some footage of Tyson landing on multiple opponents starting at the 2:36 mark with Jose Ribalta.
